From December to April, Los Cabos brings together the peak seasons for golf and whale watching, creating a perfect time for family and multigenerational travel where everyone in the group has something to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes<\/a>, a golf vacation can work for family members, even those who have no interest in picking up a club. Somar Golf Links<\/a> is directly on the property, so golfers have easy access to the course while the rest of the family can enjoy whale watching, watersports, kids programming, wellness and culinary activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greg Norman routed the course through desert foothills, a cactus forest and coastal dunes, with an ocean view from all 18 holes and Cabo\u2019s only green island. The course offers five sets of tees, from about 5,100 yards to 7,240, so players of all skill levels can play. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A complimentary shuttle runs from the resort to Solmar Gold Links. The course offers lessons and equipment, and Class A PGA of America Professional Jose Marcellan provides private instruction. The course welcomes children as young as five and offers options for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During winter whale watching, guests can watch as humpback whales migrate from the warm waters of Los Cabos. The resort can help arrange excursions that highlight El Arco, Lover\u2019s Beach, and the resident sea lion colony before heading into open water in search of whales. The saltwater lagoon pool is designed for all-day play, big enough for kayaking and paddleboarding, and also offers twin waterslides, a rope swing, and a sandy beach-style shoreline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beach volleyball and ping pong tournaments, along with a pickleball court, are featured games beside the activity hut, with games, crafts, and equipment. A resort activities team runs a daily program and guided mountain bike rides through the desert and dunes. The kids club features crafts, beach games, treasure hunts, cooking and pottery classes, bracelet making, interactive storytelling, and movie nights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Culinary programming sessions for teens and adults run most afternoons at 3 p.m. Staple activities include cooking classes, sunset wine tastings, margarita classes, and taco and craft beer pairing. Wellness activities include complimentary stretching, yoga, and sound healing, plus oceanfront treatments at the Spa by the Ocean. Guests can also arrange snorkeling, ATV excursions, camel safaris, and other Cabo experiences with the concierge as off-property adventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
