The recognition reflects a larger shift in how people travel. Sustainable tourism has moved far beyond a niche interest, with travelers increasingly prioritizing low-impact stays and deeper connections to the places they visit. Ambiente\u2019s approach taps directly into that mindset, offering guests a luxurious escape while also respecting and protecting the surrounding environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Four Green Keys designation places the Sedona retreat among a group of hotels that meet the highest international standards for sustainability and conservation. Set on three acres of high desert bordering Coconino National Forest, the \u201clandscape hotel\u201d concept was designed to blend into its surroundings rather than dominate them. Its 40 cube-shaped guest accommodations, known as Atriums, are elevated on stilts to protect the delicate terrain below, allowing the natural environment to remain largely untouched.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability is built into nearly every element of the experience. Each Atrium features Eco Bee smart thermostats, energy-efficient LED lighting that complies with Sedona\u2019s Dark Sky standards and floor-to-ceiling low-E glass designed to improve energy efficiency while reflecting the area\u2019s famous red rock scenery. The property\u2019s pool is solar-heated, and all on-site vehicles are fully electric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water conservation also plays a central role in the hotel\u2019s environmental approach. During development, ancient waterways on the property were carefully restored and reintegrated into the landscape. These streams are fully recirculating, oxygenated and chemical-free, creating a healthy habitat for rescued koi fish from across Arizona while maintaining a sustainable water system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
