Designed by Mendil + Meyer Design Studio<\/a>, the renovation combines vintage charm and contemporary style. The project was guided by a commitment to sustainability, carefully considering reducing waste and environmental impact by incorporating elements from previous renovations. The design team drew inspiration from mid-century aesthetics, reimagining them with a modern flair. The result is a space that feels both nostalgic and fresh, preserving the hotel’s rich history while meeting the needs of today\u2019s travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reimagined rooms and suites feature a serene color palette inspired by Arizona\u2019s enchanting sunsets. Soft pinks, blues, and warm desert tones, balanced with crisp creams and neutral accents, infuse the space with a sophisticated, calming ambiance. The design evokes the charm of mid-century style with a visual nod to the desert\u2019s iconic beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carefully curated details abound throughout the spaces. Custom artwork by Scottsdale-based artist Djamila Fierek<\/a> adorns the walls, adding a vibrant touch. Ceramic wall planters and geometric hummingbird patterns on custom-designed window sheers create a playful and whimsical atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walnut wood open closets, custom terrazzo countertops, and illuminated vanity mirrors add layers of contemporary sophistication. In select rooms, floating tubs and spacious patios complete the luxurious experience, offering guests a tranquil space to unwind. The high-tech Lutron system allows for personalized lighting and temperature control, ensuring every guest enjoys their stay to the fullest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability remains a key element of the renovation. Eco-conscious choices, such as the “Sprung Chair” by Deadgood<\/a> \u2013 crafted from 81 percent recycled materials \u2013  reflect the hotel\u2019s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint. The bathrooms offer natural light, thanks to glass block accents, and feature concrete terrazzo vanities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ground-level, pool-facing Cabana King Rooms offer extended patios with sun loungers, tables, and chairs. These spacious suites are furnished with king-size beds, queen sleeper sofas, and custom-made furnishings designed to reflect the hotel’s mid-century modern aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
