Hyatt Place Page\/Lake Powell<\/a> honors Native American Heritage Month with complimentary weekly experiences throughout November.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Various workshops offer guests an authentic, immersive look at Navajo culture. Thanks to the surrounding Native-led communities, guests can learn from local Navajo artists and experts and gain exposure to their cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every Saturday until November 30, there will be a Native American Jewelry Expo from 2 to 6 p.m. Hotel patrons are welcome to shop and admire beautifully handcrafted jewelry from Indigenous artists in the area and acquire the perfect one-of-a-kind piece to take home and memorialize their trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will also be Navajo Storytelling and Songs with Eli Secody and a Dreamcatcher Workshop with Pearl Seaton on select days over the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the Navajo Storytelling and Songs events, Secody, who has lived his entire life in the Navajo Nation, will use songs and drums to convey oral traditions and history from the land. Secody will show guests the connection between land and wildlife through stories and folklore that have existed for generations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Dreamcatcher Workshop, Seaton, a local Navajo weaver, will guide participants in crafting traditional dreamcatchers. Over the one-hour class, Seaton will teach the purpose and meaning of the pieces. Participants will also hear about her childhood and her origins with the Indigenous symbol. Upon check-in, guests 10 and older can sign up for one of 15 available spots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside of the Hyatt Place Page\/Lake Powell events, families can embrace the scenic land close to 11 national parks, 16 national monuments, and over 20 byways. Guests can utilize the Adventure Concierge Team to create a personalized itinerary, whether it\u2019s heading up to Horseshoe Bend, walking through Antelope Canyon, or dining at the Prickly Pear
