The MICHELIN Guide<\/a> is expanding into the hospitality industry after revealing its brand-new list<\/a> of one, two, and three Key hotels in the United States.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hotels in Atlanta, California, Chicago, Colorado, Florida, New York and Washington, D.C. were eligible for the distinction.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just like a MICHELIN-rated restaurant, a MICHELIN-rated hotel can earn one, two or three keys: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One Key:<\/strong> a very special stay<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two Keys:<\/strong> an exceptional stay <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three Keys: <\/strong>an extraordinary stay <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MICHELIN Guide currently notes over 5,000 hotels across the world, with each going beyond the bounds of a simple one-night stay. Each establishment is an experience within itself for travelers from far and wide, vetted and judged by a group of MICHELIN experts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The selection team takes into account five universal criteria<\/a> when awarding MICHELIN Stars: excellence in architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, overall personality and character, value for the price, and a significant contribution to the neighborhood setting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The complete 2024 MICHELIN Guide hotel selection for the United States includes 11 Three Key hotels, 33 Two Key hotels and 80 One Key hotels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hotel Chelsea, New York City<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

California\u2019s Golden Coast currently holds the most Key hotels in the country, from grand architectural achievements in Big Sur to lavish beachside experiences in Santa Monica. Each hotel highlights the very best of its locations, giving guests a unique experience in a popular setting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Los Angeles, hotels like Chateau Marmont<\/a>, the Paramour Estate<\/a>, Sunset Tower<\/a> and The Charlie<\/a> have an impressive history of guests and residents, like \u201cblonde bombshell\u201d Marilyn Monroe and the \u201cKing of Hollywood\u201d Clark Gable. These spots thrive off innovation as they blend their rich history with next-level amenities and experiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York\u2019s historic Hotel Chelsea<\/a>, once home to prominent figures in the art scene, such as  Bob Dylan and Andy Warhol, now decorates each of its spaces with art donated by former residents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
