The legendary getaway established in 1896 has officially reopened its doors for its first premiere full season. Castle Hot Springs<\/strong><\/a> will be open seasonally from October through late June with a focus on health and wellness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Packed with history<\/strong><\/a>, Castle Hot Springs was a hotspot among society’s most prominent names including the Vanderbilts, Pews, Cabots, Astors, Roosevelts and Wrigleys, among others. It was even used as a military rehab center in the ’40s, hosting John F. Kennedy as he recovered from his injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the resort features a host of modern-day amenities and programming all centered around its iconic thermal hot springs and stunning desert location. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crop-Driven Cuisine<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The resort’s resident agronomist Ian Beger oversees the property’s greenhouse and one-acre farm of more than 150 varieties of fruits and veggies and groves home to 36 types of citrus trees. Harvest, the signature restaurant, is led by Executive Chef Christopher Brugman and features daily rotating menus based off the farm’s yield. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curious guests can partake in the daily forage to learn about “flavor-farming,” before enjoying dishes like coconut carrot bisque and and\u00a0Tandoori octopus grilled over Juniper wood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beverage program is led by Food & Beverage Manager & Sommelier, Thomas Burris, creating desert libations using locally grown and sourced ingredients. Unique concoctions include Lady & The Tramp, made with Pecorino Romano cheese-infused vodka. Plus, Harvest offers Castle\u00a0Hot Springs Lithium Lager\u00a0<\/strong>made exclusively for the resort utilizing properties from the heart of the land\u2019s hot springs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital Detox<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Even before today’s trend of “unplugging,” Castle Hot Springs was a place for travelers to disconnect. Guests can enjoy swimming and soaking in the mineral-rich, colorful hot springs or partake in horseback riding, hiking, archery, gardening and more. For spa-enthusiasts, the resort offers treatments like the signature Serenity Springs Custom Massage and more in outdoor cabanas surrounded by the nearby springs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accommodations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Even accommodations encourage disconnecting. Designed with the environment in mind, Sky View Cabins are perfectly positioned for stargazing and enjoying the outdoors on a private patio, deck or outdoor soaking tub. Spring Bungalows feature private fireplaces and outdoor tubs. For large groups, The Cottage offers three rooms and more than 1,200 square feet of space. Even those looking for traditional digs can stay in the Lodge Rooms that overlook the resort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Castle Hot Springs is an adult getaway (16 and up). Rates start from $1,200, inclusive of meals and activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
