If you’re looking to up your romance in 2019, book a stay at Baros Maldives<\/a> which was recently named The World’s Most Romantic Resort. The award was presented at the 25th annual World Travel Awards<\/a> in Lisbon, Portugal on December 31 which acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence throughout the global travel and tourism industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the sixth time the island resort has won the title of Most Romantic. This year, Baros beat out resorts from nine regions representing the best romantic destinations around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Jay, the general manager of Baros, expressed gratitude on behalf of all those associated with Baros saying, \u201cThis award encourages us at Baros because it was made after assessment by industry professionals as well as through recommendations by guests. We aim to make sure our guests enjoy the exclusive seclusion, luxurious comfort and exquisite cuisine that are the hallmarks which have made us the \u201cWorld\u2019s Most Romantic Resort.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baros Maldives is an ultra-private resort that was designed specifically for couples. It’s so peaceful that there’s not even traffic or motorized water sports to ruin the moment. The 77 individual villas are located either by the beach or over water, with many featuring private pools. Three gourmet restaurants, two bars, a spa, an infinity-edge pool, and more complete the amenities. The resort is located 25 minutes by speed boat from the Maldives International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
