It was a beautiful afternoon filled with over 50 designer handbags at the inaugural Stars of Hope ~ Handbags for Hope Luncheon, held in the courtyard of The Country Club at DC Ranch. This inaugural event raised $58,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The Handbags for Hope sponsors included Saks Fifth Avenue, the Friends and Family of Nicholas J. Mailliard Fund, Fry’s Food Stores and the Barclay Group. One of the highlights of the afternoon, Darla Helms was announced as the winner of the exclusive pair of FENDI handbags valued at $3,020. The afternoon concluded with a designer handbag fashion show presented by title sponsor, Saks Fifth Avenue.
