being up with the dogs, hiking or yoga, Construction site visits and design time with clients or our design team, a glass of Pinot Noir while cooking dinner and answering emails and bed by 10pm.<\/p>\n

is the weather and the views of Pinnacle peak from my backyard and in general, how the weather allows access to the outdoors everyday.<\/p>\n

except for my daughter, who has just graduated from U of A and now lives and works in Los Angeles, everyone else is back in Canada. My family is loud and enjoys lively conversation, they love to cook together and all appreciate beautiful design.<\/p>\n

Martha Stewart. I followed her journey in Lifestyle and Design for the past 30 plus years. I heard that she only sleeps 3 hours a night and I can totally relate\u2026sleep? What is that?<\/p>\n
One thing I cannot live without\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n
my daughter\u2026and my 2 goofy little rescue dogs\u2026and all kinds of cheese.<\/p>\n
When I was younger, I wanted to be\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n
a fashion buyer, a chef and an interior designer. I have been able to do all of them in my life so far.<\/p>\n

Meredith Baer, who was a journalist and now has built an amazing empire in the staging world and of course Joanna Gaines, who has a communications degree and is not a designer by education and is now one of the most important design lifestyle influencers of this decade. It\u2019s not how you start but how you finish!<\/p>\n
The one person who motivates me is\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n
myself. I\u2019m not a competitive person and I am motivated by my insane desire to just create beauty and connect with people.<\/p>\n
If I could change anything in the world\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n
there would be no such thing as calories and people who think \u201cno\u201d before they think \u201cyes\u201d.<\/p>\n
The perfect day would be\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n
hiking Pinnacle Peak, maybe a hot yoga class, brunch at Local Bistro with friends and bottomless mimosas, hanging out in my backyard with my dogs as a wrap.<\/p>\n
My first job was\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n
a sales clerk in the junior fashion department at Eatons department store in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. I was also on the Junior Fashion Advisory Counsel. I was 16.<\/p>\n
My favorite escape\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n
for a quick getaway, spa day at the Montelucia. For a weekend, Flagstaff to cool off and if I have time to plan, the Greek islands.<\/p>\n
My life\u2026 <\/b><\/p>\n
is so blessed and full of amazing and creative and funny people. Love that we laugh out loud at the office, all the time. Somebody says something kind to me every single day here, in the grocery line or at the car wash. Cannot believe that I get to do what I do everyday.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m currently working on\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n
our team, a great assortment of residential remodel and be build projects and a few really fun commercial projects. Personally..my backyard and pool project, I have been in the design phase for over a year. Kind of like the shoemakers children with no shoes, a designers house is always last on the \u201cto do\u201d list.<\/p>\n
