A typical day in my life includes\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

crazy mornings trying to get coffee made, lunches prepped and breakfast on the table. After dropping off my daughter at school I\u2019ll usually head to a morning yoga session to start my day with the right mindset. After that, it\u2019s usually computer work which consists of responding to emails, drafting blog posts, business development, and adding things to my Poshmark closet. After picking up my daughter the day winds down with dinner, homework, and bedtime routines. A Thursday will include all of this with a dash of Goodwill shopping in between. I love Thursdays (they\u2019re Goodwill\u2019s dollar tag days in case you didn\u2019t know).<\/p>\n

I was born\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

in Los Angeles, CA, but moved to Phoenix at 4. I totally consider myself a Phoenician.<\/p>\n

My favorite thing about Arizona\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

is the weather. Sounds crazy right? As an Arizona native, I love the warm weather. Yes, 115-degree days are tough, but so am I. There\u2019s nothing a good pool day (and air conditioner) can\u2019t fix.<\/p>\n

I’m listening to\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

You\u2019re Not Lost by Maxie McCoy on Audible. The book is filled with advice, exercises, and action items to help you create the life you deserve. If you\u2019re into self-help books, I highly recommend it.<\/p>\n

My family\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

is filled with the craziest, kindest, and most genuine individuals.<\/p>\n

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n

Oprah Winfrey. I love her success story. I also love her balance between success, leadership, spirituality, and philanthropy. If there\u2019s anyone that\u2019s doing like right, it\u2019s Oprah.<\/p>\n

One thing I cannot live without\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

my car. I commute a lot, and with limited public transportation in my neighborhood, a car is the best way to get around. I could survive a day without my phone, laptop, Wi-Fi, etc., but not my car.<\/p>\n

When I was younger, I wanted to be<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n

a fashion designer. I\u2019ve always loved fashion, so it was obvious that fashion design would be my gateway into a career in the industry. I later realized that I wasn\u2019t a good artist or seamstress, so that idea went out the window.<\/p>\n

I’m inspired by\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

my followers. I absolutely love getting comments, messages, and emails about how I\u2019ve changed their outlook on fashion, confidence, and personal style. Those messages and feedback inspire me to continue doing what I\u2019m doing. If not me, then who?<\/p>\n

The one person who motivates me is\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

my husband. He believes in me more than I believe in myself sometimes, and I can\u2019t thank him enough for that. He\u2019s supported my decision to follow my passion since day one and continues to do it every single day. He constantly reminds me of my worth and growth. How amazing is that?<\/p>\n

If I could change anything in the world, it would be\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

how people shop. The fashion industry doesn\u2019t just have an incredibly negative effect on our planet, but on our self-esteem and personal style as well. If we stopped buying everything we were pressured to buy and instead were more intentional about it, our minds (and the planet) would be so much healthier.<\/p>\n

The perfect day would be\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

a healthy balance of work, family, thrifting, and a good home cooked meal. Oh, and a clean house to end it. I don\u2019t ask for much.<\/p>\n

My first job was\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

at Macy\u2019s. I was a sales associate and lasted a whole two months. It was then that I realized I was not meant for retail. I quit. Since then, I\u2019ve been quitting jobs and following my heart to where I\u2019m truly meant to be (shopping at a thrift store, of course).<\/p>\n

My favorite escape\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

thrift store shopping. Whenever I\u2019m feeling unmotivated, uninspired, or simply unproductive, I like to browse the racks of my favorite Goodwill. I\u2019m almost instantly revived and am reminded of my purpose and passion. A little retail therapy never hurt anyone.<\/p>\n

My life\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

is a rollercoaster ride filled with ups, downs, scary moments, and exciting ones. No matter what, at the end of the day, I\u2019m so grateful I have the opportunity to ride it with my favorite people.<\/p>\n

I’m currently working on\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

revamping my entire business plan. So much has changed since I ventured off on my own last year. I\u2019ve learned so much about myself, my purpose, and the needs of the community. I\u2019m so excited to start working on a variety of projects that encompass all my interests and goals. Stay tuned.<\/p>\n

trust your gut. Your intuition is a real thing and is usually trying to tell you something. I\u2019m might not seem like the perfect decision at the moment, but it\u2019ll all eventually lead you to exactly where you\u2019re meant to be.<\/p>\n

put your happiness in other people\u2019s hands. You\u2019re in charge of your life and have the ability to do whatever you put your mind to. Everyone and everything else is irrelevant.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have as many hours in a day as Beyonc\u00e9.\u201d It\u2019s gotten backlash because, of course, we don\u2019t all have Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s team, money, and resources. However, I strongly believe that what we choose to do with our time is completely our decision. Make the best of it.<\/p>\n

Biggest Dream\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

to build a life full of freedom. The freedom to take time off as I see fit, freedom to do only what makes me truly happy, and of course, financial freedom. I think freedom is fundamental to a life of content.<\/p>\n

My Pet Peeve(s)\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n

people that throw everything away. Like, EVERYTHING. I\u2019m shocked and heartbroken when I see perfectly good toys, home d\u00e9cor items, furniture, and clothes in trash cans. Not only will it all end up in the landfill, but there are people looking to purchase those items. Donating to your favorite non-profits has so many benefits, so stop tossing and start donating.
