Meet Chelsea Scott Flower, founder and CEO of Scott Social!

“Scott Social is a boutique social media agency located in Arizona, serving clients everywhere. We elevate and streamline the social media process of small businesses, from beautiful content creation to heart-to-heart community management and everything in between.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

AZF: What is your “life motto?” <\/strong>
CSF: <\/strong>Whatever is worth doing, is worth doing well. To me, this means approaching my work like I would art. Crafting the perfect vision, then making it happen. I find fulfillment in giving my all to something, then stepping back to admire the results. At Scott Social, our north star is “quality over quantity”. In social media, a business has to directly compete with the content of their followers’ friends and family. Quality and resonance is key. Every single post, caption, and comment is worth doing, so it’s worth doing well. And while this motto applies so perfectly to entrepreneurship and marketing, I love to apply it to other areas of my life too. I find myself hosting detail-obsessed Halloween parties that take months to plan, hand making Christmas presents, and even restoring a 115-year-old craftsman home from the ground up. I never stray from a challenge and love to push myself. Anything worth doing, is worth doing well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path right for you?<\/strong>
CSF: <\/strong>I’ve been mixing art and business since the days when lemonade stands were the ultimate side hustle (and let me tell you, smoothie stands are the real moneymakers). Now, 20 years later, to no surprise, I’m still at it. For me, entrepreneurship was less of an “if” and more of a “when”. And while I certainly didn’t think I would take the leap at the age of 22, I’m forever thankful that I did. Growing through my 20s with endless challenge, impactful friendships, and incredible sacrifice has given me more fulfillment than I could describe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: How do you feel best supported?<\/strong>
CSF: <\/strong>I feel most supported by heart-to-heart conversations with other female founders. Community is everything. The women I have met through entrepreneurship hold me up and encourage me to dream bigger.In some part, I feel that I owe my success to them. I have a feeling they may say the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur? <\/strong>
CSF: <\/strong>No one becomes an entrepreneur to take the easy road. The unknown of it all \u2013 the new experiences I’ve encountered and all the unexpected ones yet to come \u2013 that’s what keeps me going. Even when I think I’ve got something down to a science, a new challenge always seems to pop up out of nowhere. It’s like life knows exactly how to keep things interesting. Adventure is the stuff of life. And in the world of entrepreneurship, the newness never seems to end. There’s always something new to learn, a fresh obstacle to overcome, or a surprising twist to navigate. It’s this constant evolution that makes the journey so rewarding. Whether it’s marketing for a new industry, a sudden market shift, or an unexpected opportunity, I embrace the unknown and thrive on the endless possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.<\/strong>
CSF: <\/strong>My perfect Saturday morning is sleeping in and waking up to tea in another country. Of all the things I love about entrepreneurship, the freedom to work from wherever, whenever, has to be my favorite. Plus, my most creative moments happen overseas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: What’s one piece of advice you would give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out? <\/strong>
CSF: <\/strong>Know that all advice isn’t for you. While many mentors, colleagues, and coaches might have your best interest in mind, their truth is different from yours. I inherited many limiting beliefs early in my career: “You’re too young. You need to work at least 10 years before starting your own businesses.” “You’re great at marketing, but you still have a lot to learn about business.” And while these statements may have been true in some sense, they weren’t MY truth. Despite the advice I was given, I started Scott Social in my early 20s and never looked back. My timing wasn’t common or recommended, but truly, I couldn’t imagine a better time for me to have made the jump. As a current or soon-to-be entrepreneur, you have the freedom to reject advice that isn’t in alignment with your vision and abilities. Trust yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?<\/strong>
CSF: <\/strong>The impact. Every day, I get to wake up and contribute to something bigger than myself. At the end of the day, it’s about people. It’s the thrill of watching an idea come to life, watching the Scotties (our nickname for the Scott Social team) collaborate, celebrating a new milestone with a client, and knowing that I’m playing a part in making it all happen. It’s these moments that remind me why I love being an entrepreneur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Foundress<\/a> is a creative community of female entrepreneurs established by Coley Arnold and Lindsey Holt, owners of Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market.
