We know how scary it can be to trust someone else with your business and we take that decision very seriously. We act as a true extension of your team and will always have your best interest at heart.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AZF: What is your \u201clife motto<\/strong>\u201c<br><strong>FM:&nbsp;<\/strong>I&#8217;m not sure I have a life motto. However, something that I&#8217;ve carried through business and my personal life is to not burn any bridges. It&#8217;s a very small world and we are ALL connected in some way. Connection + referrals have helped me build Two Strikes and for that I am so grateful. You never know how a single conversation or relationship could affect you (or your business) down the road, so always be kind, take the high road, and avoid burning any bridges!<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path right for you?<\/strong><br><strong>FM:&nbsp;<\/strong>Yes and no. I feel like I&#8217;ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, even from a young age. I grew up riding horses &amp; most weekends were spent at horse shows. When I wasn\u2019t riding, I would offer other riders &amp; horse owners a list of services like washing horses and dogs, cleaning stalls, and lunging horses. I think the drive and desire was always there because this carried into my adult life. In 2019 I was laid off from my job at a start-up marketing agency. My boss at the time told me she thought I would fit best in a more structured and corporate setting. While I felt very discouraged by this, it also gave me the push I needed to give entrepreneurship my \u201call\u201d. I didn\u2019t know if it was the right path. I still have doubts that everything will be \u201cok\u201d &#8211; but this keeps me motivated to do more and keep going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AZF: How do you feel best supported?<\/strong><br><strong>FM:&nbsp;<\/strong>Having an outlet and community has helped me feel supported very naturally! Two Strikes is a team of 7. However I work from home + my team members are scattered throughout many different states. So it can feel lonely &#8211; especially on days that are challenging. My husband and family offer SO much support. Whether it&#8217;s navigating hard conversations or making sure the admin of my business is buttoned up. I couldn&#8217;t have made it this far without them. The community of ladies at The Foundress have also been so supportive. There is always someone who has been in your shoes and if they don&#8217;t know the answer to your problem, they will help you find it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?<\/strong><br><strong>FM:<\/strong>&nbsp;This is a tough one. While I have a lot of motivators, my daughter is #1. When I have challenging days that have me wanting to throw in the towel, I think of the the end goal + providing for my daughter. Not only has entrepreneurship allowed me to provide for my family, but it\u2019s also allowed me to be very present with my daughter every day &#8211; both of these things motivate me to keep going. Other motivators include words of affirmation from clients and helping business owners succeed online. Both of these things mean I\u2019m helping other families succeed, which brings me joy and motivates me to keep going!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.<\/strong><br><strong>FM:<\/strong>&nbsp;Having coffee on the couch with the windows open. Heading out for a hike (or bike ride) with my family. Followed by brunch somewhere on a patio, preferably with some live music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AZF:&nbsp;What\u2019s one piece of advice you\u2019d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?<\/strong><br><strong>FM:<\/strong>&nbsp;Get in all the rooms with the right people. Talk about your business all the time &#8211; people actually want to know. You can&#8217;t build a business at home, by yourself. You<em> have<\/em> to get in front of people, build connections, and get uncomfortable.
