AZF: What is your \u201clife motto\u201d?<\/strong>
CK:\u00a0<\/strong>“I’ve failed over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed.” -Michael Jordan<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path right for you?<\/strong>
CK:\u00a0<\/strong>Originally I moved to Arizona from Illinois to go to ASU for sports broadcasting and journalism. My parents both worked for big corporations for over 30 years, I had no idea what being an entrepreneur would be like. I met my husband a few years after I graduated college while juggling multiple jobs, he is a doctor who was BORN with an entrepreneurial mind! I was hooked and we have been doing business together for over 15 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: How do you feel best supported?<\/strong>
CK:\u00a0<\/strong>I have a husband who is a strong leader and a female COO by my side that I know I can go to with absolutely anything. We work together in a leadership triangle that is extremely supportive and growth-minded. We are honest and straight to the point with each other, even during the most challenging times. I always feel like my support team is with and for me along this journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?<\/strong>
CK:<\/strong>\u00a0I have always been a very driven person, but I am also very much a morning person. I can go to bed at night feeling completely defeated and exhausted, and wake up the next day ready to take on anything again. I became a stepmother to two small children at a young age, one of them being a stage 4 medulloblastoma brain cancer survivor. My stepdaughter Talia has taught me the most valuable lessons in life, she is a warrior who can push through anything and can find confidence inside herself on her worst days. Being a mother motivates me, and also the drive to succeed for my husband and family altogether.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.<\/strong>
CK:<\/strong>\u00a0I get up early with a cup of coffee and relax with the dogs. I go on a trail run while my family sleeps in to take in nature and cleanse my soul. I come home to my family just waking up, we make breakfast and share a meal together. Then, of course, we get ready for a full day of youth sports.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF:\u00a0What\u2019s one piece of advice you\u2019d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?<\/strong>
CK:<\/strong>\u00a0You either quit or keep going. They both hurt. The biggest skill you can acquire is the ability to wake up each morning and never quit on yourself.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
