A typical day in my life includes\u2026 <\/strong>miles of walking with our labrador and my husband, reading, handwork, cooking and baking.\u00a0 Well, and volunteer work for the Literary Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was born\u2026<\/strong> in Connecticut, lived there for six months and have never been back<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favorite thing about Arizona\u2026 <\/strong>is the vast open expanse of the state surrounded by mountains in this fabulous climate.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m listening to\u2026 <\/strong>an audio book at twice the recorded speed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be\u2026 <\/strong>our 14 month old grandson<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing I cannot live without\u2026 <\/strong>dark chocolate<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I was younger, I wanted to be\u2026 <\/strong>a librarian<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m inspired by\u2026<\/strong>. the extreme patience and acceptance of my grandfather, who developed a degenerative disease in his early thirties.\u00a0 It cost him his marriage, his career, his mobility, his binocular vision, and impaired his speech, but he read several newspapers a day and retained his sense of humor, sharp wit, amazing patience, and kindness well into his eighties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one person who motivates me is\u2026<\/strong>. my husband.\u00a0 He introduced me to new adventures and ways of approaching challenges, which assist me in arriving at better solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The perfect day would be\u2026 <\/strong>waffle Saturday every day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bio-on yourself\/company: <\/strong>Literary Society is in its fourth year being run by an all-volunteer board and we have made such progress!\u00a0 We have exceeded our membership goals, introduced our members to incredible authors and contemporary literature, engaged so many of our members in our volunteer efforts, and since 2008 granted close to $300,000 to nonprofit literacy programs and
