“At NMD Wellness of Scottsdale, we help patients from preconception to postpartum create a healthy lifestyle plan unique to their needs that can not only improve their health but the health of their future baby. By using evidence- based integrative approaches, we help bridge the gap between conventional and naturopathic medicine to provide couples effective strategies whether they are just starting their fertility journey, have been trying for a while or gearing up for IVF.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

AZF: What is your “life motto”?<\/strong>
Dr. Zen: <\/strong>There is no greater gift you can give or receive than to honor your calling<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path right for you?<\/strong>
Dr. Zen: <\/strong><\/strong>When I was in medical school, I told myself I would NEVER own my own practice. But it wasn’t until I started practicing medicine that I realized there was something missing in both conventional and naturopathic fertility care. I became completely obsessed with the idea of building a practice that could support women throughout their hormone and fertility journey the way I knew they needed and most importantly that they deserved. This passion became bigger than myself and led me to open NMD Wellness of Scottsdale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: How do you feel best supported?<\/strong>
Dr. Zen:<\/strong> <\/strong>I am extremely fortunate to not only be supported by my amazing husband and family but also to be surrounded by other like-minded women with strong, successful business both in the medical space and beyond!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst of the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?<\/strong>
Dr. Zen:<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> My patients motivate me every single day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.<\/strong>
Dr. Zen:<\/strong><\/strong> Walk around the lake with my son Jaxson, a Matcha latte in hand, and an inspirational podcast sounds like the perfect start to any Saturday!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?<\/strong><\/strong>
Dr. Zen:<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> Practice being comfortable in the uncomfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
