A typical day in my life includes\u2026<\/strong> the cool thing about my job is that it\u2019s never the same, great ADHD job, but it\u2019s usually about creating art or making the work of other artists possible. Also, all days involve coffee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was born\u2026 <\/strong>on Thursday. So, I\u2019m Thursday\u2019s child, I have far to go. Which has always been true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favorite thing about Arizona\u2026 <\/strong>is it\u2019s the soul of our country, we decide presidents, we create art for the rest of the country, and we have the best tacos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m listening to\u2026<\/strong> Bree Lowdermilk\/Kait Kerrigan\u2019s amazing music for Justice<\/em> the musical, we\u2019re premiering in the Spring. It\u2019s about Justices O\u2019Connor and Gingsburg. I cry every time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My family\u2026<\/strong> is hilarious. Truly it\u2019s a sitcom at my house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be\u2026 <\/strong>My dad. He never got to meet my wife or my daughter, so we would have A LOT to catch up on. Also, if he knew the Suns made the finals, he\u2019d really be shocked. Isn\u2019t that the big news of the last 10 years?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing I cannot live without\u2026<\/strong> I\u2019ve been in active recovery for 10 years, so I literally wouldn\u2019t be alive without it. And I tried to make sure I pass on to everyone that redemption, recovery and joy is possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I was younger, I wanted to be\u2026 <\/strong>Artistic Director of Arizona Theatre Company. Now I gotta come up with a new goal!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m inspired by\u2026 <\/strong>Christopher Oscar Pe\u00f1a, playwright of ATC\u2019s how to make an American Son <\/em>\u2013 from writing for Insecure<\/em> to his new show for ATC, he\u2019s making sure Latinx stories are part of the national conversation and on ATC\u2019s stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one person who motivates me is\u2026 <\/strong>Lauren Gunderson, most produced playwright in the country, who has two shows at ATC this year. I\u2019m always amazed by her skill, southern charm, and dedication to telling stories that aren\u2019t always centered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I could change anything in the world, it would be\u2026 <\/strong>world hunger.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The perfect day would be\u2026 <\/strong>Rehearsal with my favorite artists, or the beach with my family. Maybe spending the morning at one and afternoon at the other?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My first job was\u2026<\/strong> I was a bag boy at Publix, I still have nightmares of putting bread at the bottom of a bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favorite escape\u2026 <\/strong>anyone who swings away on a rope. XOXO<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My life\u2026 <\/strong>wouldn\u2019t be what it is without my mom. 10 years ago, I was suicidal, my mother talked me out of it, and got me sober \u2013 actually it was exactly the one year anniversary of her getting sober \u2013 so we share the same sobriety date one year apart. October 12th<\/sup> is when our lives got started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m currently working on\u2026 <\/strong>next season Arizona Theatre Company will have a show off-Broadway and it\u2019s first show on the West End in London. So, I\u2019m trying to find housing and fun places for toddlers in both cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Always\u2026<\/strong> watch that West Wing<\/em> re-run <\/strong>you stumbled upon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Never\u2026 <\/strong>say never. It\u2019s a small industry, I was always told to be nice to people on your way up, so they\u2019ll be nice to you on your way down. THIS IS TRUE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biggest Dream\u2026 <\/strong>for Arizona Theatre Company to really become the local theatre the world pays attention to. There\u2019s no reason why Arizona can\u2019t be the center of the theatrical universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Pet Peeve(s)\u2026 <\/strong>in our field you have to learn to be happy for the successes of others, and that\u2019s a note for myself as well, so my biggest pet peeve in myself is when I have to
