The Phoenix real estate scene is changing every day.\nAnd the exponential growth of the city\u2019s population is inspiring the\ndevelopment of more than a dozen new residential and luxury communities,\nintelligently spread across every suburb in the Valley. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of those is Avance \u2013 a refreshingly modern, and\nunusually feasible, neighborhood settled at the base of South Mountain. The\nmaster-planned community, courtesy of Maracay, offers four new architectural\nstyles of homes: Arizona Modern, Farmhouse Modern, Desert Modern and New\nCentury Modern. Though each model resembles one another in amenities and space,\nthe homes carry a distinctive ambience that makes them irresistibly attractive\nto nearly every buyer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the community features an array of striking\nviews \u2013 whether it be the panoramic scenes of Downtown Phoenix to the north or\nthe towering glimpses of South Mountain piercing the sky to the south \u2013 the\nmost appealing part of the community actually rests in its interior design\nthemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The property features six new model homes which have\neach been outfitted by Netflix\u2019s \u201cQueer Eye\u201d star and acclaimed interior\ndesigner, Bobby Berk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Berk\u2019s eye for fresh design palettes and interior\nsymmetry, as seen through his projects on the hit show, have garnered him a\nunique reputation and a loyal fan base. His talents and his ability to acutely\ndesign homes for such a diverse audience were especially present in each of\nAvance\u2019s model homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe really like to make sure that we have a look that\ncan appeal to everyone, which is why every single house is very different,\u201d says\nBerk. \u201cOur whole goal is to really attract the millennial buyer. So we do that\nby designing homes that look like people actually live in them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each interior has been designed so that the model\nhomes carry a certain sense of comfort that allows the space to feel warm and\nwelcoming, while still maintaining a level of minimalism that avoids taking\nanything away from the authentic desert backdrops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think with desert modern style, it\u2019s important to\nkeep it a bit more minimal. In the desert, you have so much going on outside\nthat your homes focus should really be on that, rather than making it too\noverwhelming in here. Especially in this community because you\u2019ve got the\nmountain, the rocks and the trees, the views of the city \u2013 so it\u2019s important to\nkind of make it a harmonious indoor, outdoor space,\u201d says Berk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though Berk is a master designer, even he dismisses\nthe idea of following certain design trends and fads when redesigning your\ndream home. Rather, he advises that people should decorate in whatever way\nmakes them feel truly happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYour home is a sanctuary, and it\u2019s like your phone\ncharger. Imagine when you go to work, it\u2019s chaotic, it\u2019s crazy and your battery\ngets drained. So, when you come home, you plug in your phone. But you should\nalso have a place where you plug in yourself. And if your home is something\nthat makes you happy and that you\u2019re passionate about, that\u2019s what really\nrecharges you,\u201d says Berk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside of vibrant interiors, the community\u2019s intent\nis to make adventure feel more accessible to its residents, and to uniquely\nincorporate the spirit of the desert into each home, no matter how different their\nthemes might be. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avance will also feature a state-of-the-art recreation\ncenter that has a 3,600-sq.-ft. beach-entry pool that is fitted for both\nleisure and athletic activities. Additionally, the community will have a spa, a\nfitness center with a weight room, cardio area and 24-hour virtual aerobic and\nstrength training classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The community will also offer spaces with plenty of\nopportunity to get outside and enjoy the desert glory, with seven neighborhood\nparks that will be comprised of everything from outdoor fireplaces, walking\npaths, volleyball courts and convenient access to a few of South Mountain\u2019s\ntrails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
