Decorating for the summer might be as simple adding a few new throw pillows here and there, or this might be the year you finally decide to renovate your kitchen.\u00a0Since there is no escaping the summer heat in the Valley, some might contemplate what home makeovers they should and shouldn\u2019t do during these triple-digit temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re in for a gut renovation or the long haul with building your dream home, there are a lot of aspects to consider like the season and how it affects different materials. For example, if you decides to start a new project in the summer, the heat can potentially warp the wood or it could become water logged during monsoon season. The tips below from Erik Tinker, founder of <a href=\"http:\/\/tinkerdevelopment.com\/\">Tinker Development<\/a>, are a guideline for summertime home renovations projects.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The best renovations to tackle from July through September are indoor makeovers like your kitchen or bathroom.<\/li>\n<li>The intense heat can weaken the strength of concrete, paint can become cracked, blistered or discolored, and bricks can dry out which decrease the ability to adhere to mortar paste.<\/li>\n<li>Redoing your roof toward the end of summer coming into the fall season is best because the materials need high temperature and dry weather to seal.
