My father started The Statesman Group in 1971 as a hobby building our family homes.\u00a0 Fortunately, in 1995 I had the rare opportunity to expand my family company from Canada into the US, which brought me down to Scottsdale.<\/p>\n<p><strong> What is your favorite project in Arizona?\u00a0<\/strong>The master-planned community of DC Ranch. Both my mother and father were active in different roles at the company and now all four children are working in some capacity in our family of companies in the US and Canada. \u00a0How inspiring to someday watch the company\u2019s legacy pass down for many more generations to come.<\/p>\n<p><strong> What is something timeless every home should have?<\/strong> Every Arizona home should have a large outdoor patio or a balcony to relax and enjoy the beautiful Arizona weather and spectacular sunsets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is considered trendy in homes at this time?\u00a0<\/strong>The biggest buzz words in the industry right now are center around all things \u201csmart\u201d technology. Therefore, I believe in learning and understanding all financial aspects of every project.
