<\/p>\nMark-Taylor has introduced Amazon Locker at 37 of its multifamily communities throughout the Valley as a hassle-free way for residents to receive and return packages.<\/p>\n
In recent years, management offices have become de facto receiving centers, as multifamily communities struggled with getting packages to consumers with the proliferation of online shopping. Amazon Locker is unique in that the fully-automated storage locker collects and stores packages securely, while allowing customers to retrieve shipments at their convenience 24 hours a day by using a secure scan code provided directly by Amazon.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs online shopping continues to grow, getting packages to our residents securely and efficiently is a focus that is growing by the day,\u201d said Mark-Taylor Executive Vice President Chris Brozina. \u201dWe\u2019re honored that Amazon has chosen us as their first large-scale partner in this technology but it\u2019s even more meaningful to know that this system won\u2019t put more costs back on our residents; it\u2019s about making their lives more convenient, period.\u201d<\/p>\n
The concept was a natural fit in the Phoenix market due to increased consumer demand as the West Valley is home to one of Amazon\u2019s largest fulfillment centers, which distributes more than 15 million packages per day. Nearly 30,000 Arizona residents call Mark-Taylor communities home, making the Class-A communities the best retail partner for Amazon Locker to get packages to consumers in the fastest, most convenient way possible.<\/p>\n
