The\u00a0Frank Lloyd Wright<\/a>\u00a0Foundation<\/strong>\u00a0has announced a new season of programming at\u00a0Taliesin West<\/strong>, Wright\u2019s winter home and desert laboratory in Scottsdale. A\u00a0UNESCO World Heritage<\/strong>\u00a0site, Taliesin West continues to serve as a center of creativity and learning, offering a variety of tours, exhibitions, events, and workshops that connect visitors of all ages to the legendary architect\u2019s enduring legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally built in 1937, Taliesin West was more than just a personal residence for Wright \u2013 it was a living laboratory for architecture, nature, and education. The latest programming reflects this spirit, inviting the public to explore the intersection of design, landscape, and community through immersive experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the season\u2019s highlights is the return of the popular\u00a0Self-Guided Audio Tour<\/strong>, enhanced with updated information and optional\u00a0Then & Now: A Match Game\u00a0<\/strong>cards that offer historical insights through interactive comparisons. The Shelters in the Desert Hike returns, taking visitors through the desert Shelter Zone to explore experimental structures built by Wright\u2019s apprentices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New this year is the Golden Hour Sunset Hike<\/strong>, a 90-minute walk through the Sonoran Desert that allows guests to witness the site in the light of sunset. Also making a comeback are Family Tours<\/strong>, designed for younger audiences and offered on select weekends from October through April. The Artist Pass<\/strong> grants up to three hours of uninterrupted access to sketch, paint, or photograph serene beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event lineup includes the return of Sunsets & Sips<\/strong>, a monthly evening gathering from October through May where adults can enjoy drinks while exploring the site\u2019s indoor and outdoor spaces. The Taliesin West Film Series <\/strong>also makes a comeback with screenings of classics in the historic Cabaret Theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most accessible events this season is Discovery Day<\/strong>, taking place on November 1<\/strong> and again on May 9<\/strong>. For $5 (with free admission for children 12 and under), visitors can explore the grounds at their own pace, enjoying interactive demonstrations, family-friendly crafts, and live performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Homeschool Explorations<\/strong>\u00a0take place twice monthly and offer hands-on lessons in architecture, art, science, and nature. Field trips throughout the school year invite K-12 students to engage in tactile, interdisciplinary learning inspired by Wright\u2019s teaching methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taliesin West is launching a new series of Family Workshops<\/strong>, offered four times through the season. These encourage adults and children to learn together through collaborative design and creation. Adults looking to deepen their creative practice can participate in The Arts at Taliesin West<\/strong> workshops, which include topics such as watercolor painting, sketching, mosaic design, and weaving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An exciting addition to the season is a series of three-day Photography Workshops<\/strong> led by architectural photographer Andrew Pielage. Participants will learn to capture the character of Taliesin West\u2019s architecture and surroundings. For teens, new Architecture Workshops<\/strong> provide a hands-on introduction to design thinking, drawing, and model-making, all guided by professional architects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complementing this season\u2019s educational and cultural offerings is\u00a0Desert Mirror<\/strong>, a new exhibition by artist Erika Lynne Hanson, on view from January 15 through May 31, 2026. The show, included with admission to the Self-Guided Audio Tour, features site-specific weavings, sculptures, and video works inspired by the natural materials and organic principles that define Taliesin West\u2019s architecture.
