Bobby Berk is an Emmy-winning design expert, TV host and author. He rose to prominence in 2018 for his work transforming lives and living spaces on Netflix\u2019s\u00a0Queer Eye\u00a0and has since established himself as a preeminent leader in the design industry. Bobby leads his eponymous multi-faceted brand, including comprehensive lifestyle destination\u00a0bobbyberk.com<\/a>, while his design firm has become one of the most sought-after in the home building industry. Most recently, Bobby released his first book,\u00a0Right at Home: How Good Design Is Good For The Mind<\/a>,\u00a0available now.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Great design goes beyond aesthetics \u2014 it should elevate how we live, feel, and connect with our surroundings. That belief drives my relationship with Tri Pointe Homes\u00ae, which began in 2015 and has naturally evolved into a national, multiyear, exclusive partnership that I\u2019m incredibly proud of. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, we\u2019ve created The BB Edit<\/a>, a collection of 10 unique design styles that help homebuyers personalize their spaces with interiors curated by me. From Classic Mid-Century <\/em>to New Mediterranean<\/em>, each collection offers something special to Tri Pointe\u2019s communities across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Waterston Central in Gilbert, we\u2019ve taken this collaboration to new heights with five model home interiors that exemplify the visual possibilities of design and demonstrate how a thoughtfully designed home can support well-being. Each model home reflects a distinct character from The BB Edit<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One model, inspired by the Zen Sanctuary<\/em> collection, features serene, minimalist touches like blonde woods and sensory textures for a peaceful home oasis. Another model, guided by the laid-back elegance of Luxe Bohemian<\/em>, blends earthy materials and eclectic furnishings to create a free-spirited yet refined atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n

As my interior designed model homes at Waterston Central show, design is about both beauty and well-being. Materials and colors profoundly affect our mental health. While the Zen Sanctuary <\/em>collection promotes a sense of calm and clarity for those who want to feel grounded in their homes, the Tailored Industrial <\/em>collection offers a bold, confident look with exposed brick and top-grain leather softened by vintage rugs and cozy textiles \u2014ideal for a straightforward, unapologetic lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My philosophy is that \u201cgood design is good for the mind.\u201d If you want to turn your home into a sanctuary for emotional and mental wellness, start with these three simple concepts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Maximize Natural Light:<\/strong> Bright, open spaces can lift your mood and boost your energy. Add large windows, skylights, or lighter furniture to bring in more natural light.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Declutter Your Space: <\/strong>A cluttered home can lead to a cluttered mind. Be intentional about organization. Less really is more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Bring Nature Indoors: <\/strong>Plants and natural materials foster a connection to the outdoors, creating a soothing, relaxing environment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
