designer Jennifer Coates, principal of JL Coates Design, coordinated with the owner for the remake. \u201cThe design\/build team remodeled each room and bathroom as well as added an additional bathroom,\u201d Pedenko explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Square footage was repurposed from the dining prep area for a new powder room. \u201cEach room throughout this property was remodeled and redesigned, from the entry off the garage into the kitchen to the major transformation of the master bathroom vanity and his and her showers,\u201d adds Coates, who was referred to the owner by Navin Pathangay, an Arizona commercial architect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur team redesigned the existing floorplan for better flow plus function,\u201d says Coates, noting that the new layout updated the kitchen, dining room, office, living room, laundry, pantry, powder room, wine cellar and guest bathroom. Serving clients nationwide, her JL Coates Design has two offices, Scottsdale and Cherry Hill, New Jersey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, \u201cWe removed the columns that divided the kitchen and the living room,\u201d she explains. \u201cLarge sliding doors replaced the French doors and existing windows and now provide a direct line of sight to the pool and the backyard oasis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team also updated paint, lighting, cabinetry, tile and countertops, and the flooring in the main areas is now engineered hardwood.
