During this procedure, the treatment area is numbed with anesthetics, but the patient is not put to sleep with general anesthesia. The process involves injecting a tumescent solution into the targeted area, which includes a vasoconstrictor to minimize bleeding. Once the area is numb, Dr. Nima makes small incisions and uses a cannula to dislodge and suction out the fat cells.
