Most individuals choose a non-caloric artificial sweetener over sugar to <em>lose weig<\/em>ht. Unlike several other artificial sweeteners that our body doesn\u2019t metabolize, aspartame can be metabolized. This means, it\u2019s <strong>not<\/strong> a non-caloric substance. It has 4 calories\/gram.<\/p>\n<p>Aspartame <em>not<\/em> only affects weight, it can affect <u>memory<\/u> and overall <u>performance<\/u>. A study done with rats demonstrated that those given aspartame would complete the maze to their treats at slower paces than those rats not given aspartame.<\/p>\n<p>Aspartame is not the only sweetener. You\u2019ll determine if you should have them in your diet or not.
