It is post Thanksgiving and I don\u2019t know about you but I continued eating leftovers and yummy foods days after Thanksgiving was over . \u00a0Now nothing is wrong with indulging at Thanksgiving but one thing I do not want is to continue overeating for several days. I feel sluggish, tired, my body aches and develop a horrible headache. I do not like feeling like this and it makes me unproductive and lazy.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t panic. Overeating days happen to the best of us. And the thing is, the \u201cdamage\u201d you do in one day is not going to turn you suddenly obese overnight. Overeating for several days may affect your ability to lose weight, but it will not make you gain weight, besides a little water weight. Have Breakfast<\/strong><br \/>\nEven if you wake up feeling full and sluggish from all that fill-in-the-blank you ate the night before, force yourself to start the day with breakfast. Not only does it reset your body by getting your metabolism going, but it also helps you set the tone mentally for a regular eating day. This is very important.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Hydrat<\/strong>e<br \/>\nWater is so clutch on the day after you overeat. Why? It helps you feel full, so you won\u2019t be as tempted to carry your overeating day into the next day, too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Eat an Afternoon Snack and continue with your scheduled meals (DO NOT SKIP MEALS)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nDon\u2019t skip out on this! It\u2019s important to keep your metabolism going so you don\u2019t suddenly crash and begin another overeating session. A handful of almonds and a piece of fruit should do the trick or adding a protein shake with some peanut butter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Cook Dinner at Home<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you had plans to go out with the girls, invite them to your place instead for some healthy reboot-your-body home cooking. Go for clean foods, like a piece of broiled fish with roasted veggies and a whole grain like quinoa or barley. They\u2019ll give you the nutrients you need without all the processed gunk, which would only perpetuate your bloat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Squeeze in a Workout<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen you feel like you\u2019re carrying a small child in your belly, building up the mental energy to hit the gym can seem like the last thing you want to do LOL. Really really try to get that sweat on because you\u2019ll feel so much better\u2026even a light yoga class or lifting some easy weights will suffice.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>TRY MY GREEN SMOOTHIE TO HELP GET YOU BACK ON TRACK!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2013 1 medium cucumber<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2013 1 c spinach <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2013 1\/2 c raspberries<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2013 1\/2 apple <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2013 1 tbsp coconut oil <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2013 2 tbsp squeeze lemon <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2013 1\/4 c water<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Blend!
