My current obsessions: the kale salad from LGO, Beri Golding\u2019s Hot Vinyasa Flow class and <a href=\"http:\/\/johnjayandrich.iheart.com\/\">Johnjay and Rich in the Morning<\/a>. And if you\u2019ve ever listened to the KISSFM morning DJs, you know Johnjay has some addictions as well: Bikram Yoga, Orangetheory Fitness\u2026 and on. He famously lost a bunch of weight and has kept it off (kudos!), and to our delight keeps us posted on his adventures in eating and exercising. Here, the hubby, father of three and filter-lacking disc jockey shares all his local fitness faves\u2026<\/p>\n<p><b>Favorite time to workout\u2026<br \/>\n<\/b>Well\u2026 late morning till early afternoon.\u00a0I get off the air at 10 am then\u00a0usually have meetings, so I try and get to an 11:45 Orange Theory class or an 11:30 Bikram Yoga class, then I lift weights from 2-3pm with my trainer.\u00a0I wrap up by 3pm so I can pick up my kids from school! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><b>Favorite workout\u2026.<br \/>\n<\/b>I\u2019ve been going to Bikram Yoga at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bikramyogaaz.com\/\">Bikram Yoga AZ <\/a>since 2007. What it does for your organs, your cells, your brain is fantastic. You can actually feel your body saying \u201cthank you\u201d during a class.\u00a0I will always have Bikram Yoga in my life! The group over at Bikram Yoga AZ in Paradise Valley is top notch, so friendly and they coach you into being a better yogi and they always push you to take your body and health into new levels!<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve been lifting weights with my trainer Mitch at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbangaragegym.com\/\">Urban Garage Gym<\/a> for about 3 years. The man knows his stuff. I\u2019ve sent a ton of co-workers and friends to train with him and they all love him. He\u2019s grown into this huge local trainer for\u00a0competitive figure athletes in the Valley. We even went to the Olympia in Vegas a few weeks ago together (it\u2019s the Super Bowl of bodybuilding).<\/p>\n<p>Then there\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.orangetheoryfitness.com\/studio-locations\/paradise-valley-arizona\/\">Orangetheory Fitness in Paradise Valley<\/a>. I\u2019ve been going there since August\u2026 I am totally BLOWN AWAY at how my body has changed. I run sometimes more than 3 miles a day because of this place \u2013 and I\u2019m not a runner. I can\u2019t believe the amount of stamina and endurance I have now because of this place\u2026 the fat has MELTED off my body. I am the leanest I\u2019ve ever been. Favorite yoga\u00a0instructor would be Nicole at Bikram Yoga AZ. Fitness trainer would Be Kim and Dan at Orangetheory in Paradise Valley. BTW I invite ANYONE that wants to come with me to an 11:30 am Bikram Yoga class in PV on a Wednesday for free! It\u2019s on me!!! She put me on an amazing diet that has given me energy and keeps me full all day\u2026 she\u2019s a huge\u00a0inspiration!<\/p>\n<p><b>Favorite healthy snack\u2026<br \/>\n<\/b>Favorite heathy snack is by far Quest Nutrition bars \u2013 sooo good! You can get them at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.onestopnutrition.com\/\">One Stop Nutrition<\/a>\u2026 very low carbs, they\u2019re the best protein bar out there. I\u2019m obsessed! I have a box in my car and several boxes at home!<\/p>\n<p><b>Favorite healthy restaurant<\/b><b>\u2026<br \/>\n<\/b>There\u2019s a new place called Juice\u2019d Life coming soon to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shopbiltmore.com\/dining\/Details\/189356\">Biltmore Fashion Park<\/a>; I\u2019ve been able to get some juice from them lately and it\u2019s DEF my Fav! I also go with my family to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chopshopco.com\/\">Original Chop Shop<\/a> in Old Town Scottsdale (raw veggie salad or a protein bowl w\/ beef tips \u2013 <i>SOOO<\/i> GOOD!).
