I put my to-do list on hold and headed to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.royalpalmshotel.com\/phoenix-spas-alvadora.php\">Alvadora Spa at Royal Palms<\/a> for a much-needed day of pampering. <i>Ahhh\u2026.<\/i> It\u2019s amazing how just a few hours at the spa can feel like a mini-vacation, especially when it\u2019s a spa-tacular spa! Alvadora scored As across the board. Read on for all the delightful details\u2026<\/p>\n<p><b>Test #1: Do I feel relaxed as soon as I walk in<br \/>\n<\/b>YES! In fact, that relaxed feeling started even before I entered the spa. The Royal Palms is an oasis within an oasis. Just driving into the lush, Spanish-inspired sanctuary, my shoulders relaxed, my breathing slowed and my forehead creases decreased. The grounds are green and <i>gor-geous<\/i>, and feel far removed from Phoenix for instant calm.<b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<b>Test #2: Does the spa smell like heaven<br \/>\n<\/b>A resounding yes! One of the best-smelling spas, ever. Any spa worth its salt scrub has fruit-infused water, fancy teas and inviting loungers. Alvadora had that, plus fresh fruit and mixed nuts (I always get the munchies at the spa), and a slew of recent magazines (a must!). The flowy curtains are also a nice touch.<\/p>\n<p><b>Test #4: Does the spa menu have me drooling<br \/>\n<\/b>Oh yes! The spa menu was total porn for me\u2026 like <i>50 Shades of Spa<\/i>. I got so sucked in by the exotic and enticing details; it was impossible to pick just one service (don\u2019t you hate it when that happens?). The finalists: the 90-minute Citrus Grove Facial (I\u2019m a sucker for citrus\u2026 and fab facials!) <i>and<\/i> the Essenza di Eucalyptus Pedicure. Both lived up to their divine descriptions.<\/p>\n<p><b>Test #5: Do I leave feeling polished, pampered and glowing<\/b><br \/>\nCheck, check, check!
