Television personality and AZfoothills.com columnist Nadine Toren is scouring the area, finding savvy Valley features, bringing readers “on the scene.” Every day she’ll introduce you to celebrities, athletes, and give you an inside look into local events and hot spots. She'll touch on topical issues, and keep AZ fans posted on all the big talkers around town.

Seduction Meals food and romance

It's that time of year again; Guys: get ready to woo your woman.  If you really want to make her swoon, check out some of these Valley Valentine's Day options, sure to score you major brownie points.

If you’re looking for love this pre-Valentine’s Day weekend, seek no further than Scottsdale’s Saguaro Hotel.  The revamped swanky Saguaro is throwing an I Heart AZ Party on Saturday, February 11th.  There will be a special reception featuring the Tony Martinez Band, accompanied by the finest of Arizona wines and tasty appetizers.  The soirée is also the launch of the hotel’s monthly art exhibitions, featuring a special show by local collective 3 Car Pile Up.

But to really score some sweet points, book a Saguaro suite to share with your Valentine. This romantic $1,000+ package includes overnight luxury accommodations, in-room couples massage, a private poolside cabana dinner (with a bottle of bubbly), and breakfast in bed.  (Tempting, right?!)

And if you’re hanging around in Old Town, why not renew your vows?  The totally cool W Scottsdale is inviting all married couples to say another set of “I dos” during a chic group ceremony.  You’ll kiss your bride for the second time around, poolside on the WET deck at 9pm, then enjoy a live musical performance and champagne toast.  (The W’s honorable and ordained General Manager Ren Hirose will make your vows official.)  And the best part: the Valentine’s Day vow renewal ceremony is complimentary.

The happy couple can extend their romantic rendezvous at The W starting at $355 per night, which includes a $50 dining credit at Sushi Roku, overnight accommodations in a Spectacular Room, and breakfast in bed.

But if you want to venture out of Old Town, check out one of my fave’s: Four Seasons Troon.  The resort is offering a “Feast for the Senses” cooking class, highlighting a fabulous three-course menu.  The class comes equipped with a welcome cocktail and take-home recipe book.  (This way you can woo one another in the kitchen.)  It costs $100 per couple.

For dinner, dine at the hotel’s tasty Talavera restaurant, opting for the V-Day’s “teaser” menu being offered February 10th-12th.  And get this: the menu is centered on sensuality.  Yep, get those juices flowing after eating oysters, white asparagus soup, and a shared entrée of bacon-wrapped beef tenderloin.  (All aphrodisiacs—wink-wink.)  The meal costs $135 per couple.  On Tuesday, February 14th, Talavera will be offering a V-Day five-course tasting menu. It’s $199 per couple.
