Mother’s Day Tea Weekend at the Phoenician

Want to start celebrating your mama a tad early? Well, you’re not alone. The Phoenician is hosting a Mother’s Day Tea Weekend, May 11 to May 13, from 2 to 3 p.m. Prices range from $60 to $85 depending on the package you choose and includes an array of finger sandwiches, buttermilk and cranberry scones, exquisite pastries and a selection of fine tea blends accompanied by a live pianist.

Godspell at Phoenix Theater

Godspell, the first major musical by Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz, is known for entertaining audiences around the world. The story line is as follows: at the command of John the Baptist, a small group of ordinary people help Jesus Christ tell his life’s story. Set in modern-day New York City, these disciples spread messages of love and tolerance through a series of musical parables. To purchase tickets, click here.

Schnepf Farms’ Peach Festival

Take a drive out to Queen Creek this weekend for a peachy time. This weekend, Schnepf Farms is hosting its annual Peach Festival from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m each day. Enjoy an assortment of activities like hay rides to the orchards, live music, train rides, carousel rides and a yummy peachy sampling pavilion with food ranging from sweets to salsas. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children 12 and younger.

Stars on Ice at Gila River Arena

This Friday, May 11, the much-anticipated figure skating tour, Stars on Ice, is coming in hot. This year’s show has taken American fans by storm! By purchasing a ticket you can bet on experiencing the best of the U.S. Figure Skating team. Among the stars performing are Ashley Wagner, Maia and Alex Shibutani, Karen Chen, Jason Brown, Meryl Davis and Charlie White, Adam Rippon and Nathan Chen. Tickets are going quick! Urban Wine and Jazz Walk

This Saturday, from 1 to 6 p.m., enjoy the unique opportunity to listen to the blues as you sip and savor delicious wine at a discounted price of $2 to $3 glasses of wine. The Urban Wine & Jazz Walk is a self-guided tasting tour that encourages participants to explore local bars and restaurants, sample fabulous wines, and experience great music along the way.
