Movies in the Bark

It’s happy hour time at the Biltmore Fashion Park and you know what that means right? Discounted drinks and the chance to bring your furry friends with you for a night on the town. At Biltmore, you can enjoy the awesome discounts from various restaurants such as Zinburger, Blanco’s, Seasons 52 or Capital Grille. This week’s movie is A Dog’s Purpose, and the event begins at 7 p.m. So bring your pup a blanket and a get ready to relax and watch a cute movie.

Melissa Villasenor at the Tempe Improv

Need a night of laughs? Come out and watch a cast member on the 42nd season of "Saturday Night Live" perform her comedic spirit at Tempe Improv. Melissa Villaseñor began doing impressions when she was 12 years old and she made her TV debut on "America’s Got Talent" in 2011; she is also a voice-over actor on shows like "Adventure Time" and "Family Guy.” This event has a two drink minimum, so get your drink on while having some major LOL moments with Melissa. Tempe Festival of the Arts

Head to Tempe this weekend to see the fabulous workings of 350-plus artists from around the country. This event features live music on multiple stages, a kid’s area and…wait for it…a special wine tasting event. The festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday to Sunday, March 23 to 25, on Mill Avenue between Third Street and University Drive. Admission is free, so come out and support the art community of Tempe and the country.

Innings Festival at Tempe’s Beach and Arts Park

The Innings Festival is a three-day event that will feature rock, pop and country performances from 36 artists (including Chris Stapleton, Young the Giant, Queens of the Stone Age, The Avett Brothers, etc.) on three stages. This event will also feature culinary demos, as well as curated food vendors, fun family activities and appearances by professional baseball players. And since it is an event inspired by baseball, be ready to enjoy an array of craft beers and cocktails.

5th Annual Italian Festival at the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall

Celebrate all things Italian this Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25 at the Scottsdale Civic Center! This event will feature an array of live music, from musicians flying in from Italy, dance performances, authentic Italian crafts, the ever-glorious Italian wine and delicious Italian food. This event is hosted by the Italian Association of Arizona, and a portion of the proceeds from the event will go toward St. Vincent de Paul, an organization that helps feed, clothe, house and heal those in need in Arizona. So grab your favorite tourist outfit and prepare yourselves for an afternoon in Italy. Tickets are $10 pre-sale and $15 at the door and children under 12 are free. To purchase tickets, click here.

Burger Battle at the Scottsdale Waterfront

There’s a battle in the desert this Friday, and word on the street is it’s going to be a yummy one. The sixth annual Burger Battle features chefs from restaurants across the Valley, including Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers, Hopdoddy Burger Bar and Asadero Cocina + Cantina. The event takes place from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Scottsdale waterfront at Southbridge and tickets include unlimited samples of burgers, fries and milkshakes and the VIP option includes early entrance, an exclusive lounge and gift. Burger Battle is one of the events leading up to the Scottsdale Culinary Festival on April 8-9. Drinks will be available for purchase, so this is the place to be on a Friday night!
