In honor of Father's Day this weekend, AZFoothills.com shares one of our favorite Valley dads each day leading up to the holiday. Today, meet Tucker Blalock, co-owner of residential real estate brokerage The Brokery, and see why he may have a future MLB star on his hands.

Children’s name(s) and age(s): Cash, 2

What is your biggest joy in being a dad? Biggest struggle? The biggest joy has been watching Cash learn through the examples that I set. He’s eager to learn, and it’s cool to see him look to me for guidance. The biggest struggle has been getting to spend enough time with the family. We just opened a new residential real estate brokerage called The Brokery in Arcadia, and it’s required a ton of time and effort.  But my wife does a great job balancing our life, and I’m grateful for all the time we do get to spend together.

What has been your proudest moment as a father? We just got back from California, and it was Cash’s first time to the beach.  He was fearless and jumped right in the cold water with a big smile on his face.

Looking back, what advice would you give to yourself as a new dad? Happy wife, happy life!

Describe your perfect day with your family. Staying at home and playing baseball in our backyard. Cash’s favorite player is Paul Goldschmidt, so he’s always practicing for a future in the MLB.

How do you like to celebrate Father’s Day? Our family is big on brunch, so we usually kick things off at one of our favorite Arcadia brunch spots, and then head to the movie theater for anything Disney. Afterwards, it’s Zoyo for a big frozen yogurt.
