Phillip-Phillips

He swooned the hearts of American audiences with his soulful voice and guitar-strumming talents. Now, 11th season “American Idol” champ, Phillip Phillips, will swoon the hearts of Phoenicians as he headlines the 11th Annual Lighting of America's Tallest Fresh-Cut Christmas Tree at Outlets at Anthem on Nov. 17.

Outlets at Anthem prides themselves in presenting America's tallest fresh-cut Christmas tree with a variety of entertainment for the entire family to enjoy. Topping out at 110 feet, the white fir from northern California stands taller than the wingspan of a Boeing 727 and at twice the size of the iconic Jolly Green Giant. It is decorated with three miles of LED lights, more than 6,000 ornaments and bows and a 3-foot-tall copper star hand-wrought by Outlets staff.

Outlets at Anthem Marketing Direction, Sallyann Martinez, says the annual tree lighting has become a family tradition for families across the state and is quickly becoming a must-see event for families across the nation. “Having the tallest Christmas tree in America allows us to ring in the holiday season with the entire nation. This year’s tree lighting event is bound to be one of the most spectacular yet with the star power of Philip Phillips and Roshon Fegan,” Martinez says.

Phillips won't only be presenting this year's Christmas tree but he will also be performing songs from his debut album, “The World From the Side of the Moon,” including his hit single “Home.” Additionally, Outlet at Anthem will be presenting a four-pack, six-pack and eight-pack of VIP meet and greets with Phillips to the highest bidders. All proceeds will go to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.

This lighting extravaganza will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. For additional information, visit: www.outletsanthem.com.
