28th Season Debuts With Special Summer Performance of Jonny Lang on July 21

The Chandler Center for the Arts today announced its lineup of sensational entertainment for all ages for the 2017-18 season. The Center will kick off its 28th season with a special summer performance by Grammy Award winner Jonny Lang.

Tickets for Jonny Lang are on sale now.

“We wanted to start the 28th season early and Jonny Lang is a great way to begin,” said Michelle Mac Lennan, General Manager of the Chandler Center for the Arts. “This year’s lineup of performances will bring new genres, new audiences and will continue to deliver shows of the highest artistic merit.”

Among the performances currently scheduled during the Center’s 2017-18 season that runs from July into May, season highlights include a Disney Retro Slide Show, 50th anniversary tribute performances to The Family Stone and the Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band” album, Musical Thrones, A Parody and name brand acts of Cesar Millan, Lee Rocker and Clint Black.

The Center’s annual signature event, Zoppé, An Italian Family Circus, presented by Steena Murray, will run December 27 through January 7, 2018. The one-ring circus that honors the best history of the Old-World Italian tradition—where you come as strangers but leave as family—will be celebrating its 175th anniversary. Giovanni Zoppé, a sixth-generation circus performer who plays the infamous Nino the Clown, helps propel the always entertaining 500-seat show featuring jaw-dropping acrobatic feats, canine capers, equestrian showmanship and audience participation.

Chandler Center for the Arts season also spotlights the community’s diversity with multi-cultural performances of the 18th Annual Mariachi and Folklorico Festival under the artistic direction of Vanessa Ramirez, Jarabe Mexicano, Moscow Festival Ballet, Celtic Nights and Pacifico Dance Company. Popular, familiar acts of Get the Led Out, Black Violin and Texas Tenors will be returning.

Single tickets for Chandler Center for the Arts’ 2017-18 season will go on sale on May 17 at 10 a.m. Tickets, memberships and show details are available through the Center’s Box Office, at 480-782-2680 and at www.chandlercenter.org. Performances lineup listed below.
