 City Lights Movie Nights: The Greatest Showman

CityScape Phoenix’s free City Lights Movie Nights will showcase “The Greatest Showman” this evening. Sing along with the magical musical as the movie starts at 6:30 p.m. at the CityScape splash pad. There will be fun giveaways, special-themed contests and prizes for the family to enjoy. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and arrive 15 minutes early to secure a spot.

Cosmic Playground at Arizona Science Center

Arizona Science Center inspires and delights creators, climbers and space-lovers of all ages with its limited-time Cosmic Playground experience through Jan. 13. Guests can climb, slide and explore the galaxy in a unique all-ages play space made almost entirely of household packing tape, and participate in an array of space-themed activities while immersed in cosmic light, sound and motion. Cosmic Playground is a shoe-free environment. Guests must wear clean socks or purchase a pair at the center for $1 (while supplies last). The experience is ADA accessible.

Make-A-Mega-Mess with FOAM at Children's Museum of Phoenix

Get ready for a new PopX experience at Children’s Museum of Phoenix: Make-A-Mega-Mess with FOAM! Let loose and get as messy as you'd like; the folks at the museum will take care of clean-up (pack an extra set of clothes for the little ones). Phoenix Mariachi Festival

The third-annual Phoenix Mariachi Festival, filled with lively music in a festive atmosphere, comes to the Orpheum Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m. Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán will headline the show with other performers including Marisa Ronstadt, Mariachi Femenil Las Colibrí and many more.  Artisan Fest at OdySea in the Desert

OdySea in the Desert’s Artisan Fest is a celebration of the arts taking place every second and fourth Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event will feature nearly 50 of the top local artists, designers, and creators in the state along with a kid’s art zone with different themes and activities during every event. Guests will also enjoy live music, yoga classes, live cooking and juicing demonstrations, live art and performances.

Veteran’s Day Weekend at Jake’s Unlimited

From Nov. 10 through Nov. 12, any current or past military member will be able to enjoy free access to the all-you-can-eat buffet until 8 p.m., unlimited rides and unlimited laser tag at Jake’s Unlimited. In honor of Veteran’s Day, the family entertainment center will have extended hours from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12. Cheat code to redeem the deal is “VETERAN.”

Family Day at Canal Convergence

Scottsdale Public Art’s Canal Convergence spans 10 days with engaging, interactive experiences that celebrate water, art and light along Scottsdale’s historic waterfront. Spend quality time with the family during Canal Convergence Family Days, including Sunday, Nov. 11. Kids can get hands-on with activities like natural dye workshops, screen printing and lots of glow-in-the-dark fun as well as enjoy music, poetry readings and more. Canal Convergence Family Day activities take places from about 2 to 8 p.m.

Set for Sunday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the free Arizona Harvest Fest & Farmers Market returns to fill Downtown Chandler with 100-plus merchants offering a huge selection of products and services including a farmer’s market with local produce and artisan gourmet foods, holiday items, home décor and furnishings, jewelry, clothing, art, home improvements, health and wellness services and products, plus much more. There will also be a kid’s zone, a pumpkin toss and other family fun.
