Cosmic Playground at Arizona Science Center

Arizona Science Center inspires and delights creators, climbers and space-lovers of all ages with its limited-time Cosmic Playground experience through Jan. 13. Guests can climb, slide and explore the galaxy in a unique all-ages play space made almost entirely of household packing tape, and participate in an array of space-themed activities while immersed in cosmic light, sound and motion. Cosmic Playground is a shoe-free environment. Guests must wear clean socks or purchase a pair at the center for $1 (while supplies last). The experience is ADA accessible.

Pangaea Land of the Dinosaurs

Pangaea Land of the Dinos at OdySea in the Desert not only offers plenty for kids of all ages to see and do, but it provides an educational look at prehistoric times in a way kids have likely only seen in books and movies. Time at Land of the Dinos starts with a walk through the colorful, lifelike habitats that are filled with 50 robotic dinosaurs, as well as bugs, birds and more, which move and make noise. A helpful tour guide teaches guests about each dinosaur along the way. (Kids adore the giant T-Rex!)

 The Walk to Save Animals

More than 3,000 dogs and their two-legged friends are anticipated to take part in the Arizona Animal Welfare League’s largest annual fundraiser, The Walk to Save Animals. On Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon at Tempe Town Lake, animal lovers are invited to deck out in tie-dyed shirts and peace signs for the 2K and 5K “Peace Love Adopt March!” to raise funds for the state’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter.

Extreme BMX Stunt Show

Guests are invited to OdySea in the Desert for an Extreme BMX Stunt Show event Nov. 3 and Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The X-Games athletes will show off their insane skills during this free weekend-long stunt spectacular, performed on BMX bikes, skateboards and scooters. Guests will enjoy meet-and-greets, autographs, pictures, prizes and more.

Fashion Week 4 Kids

Fashion Week 4 Kids (FW4K) is an annual, one-of-a-kind event designed to give kids a fashion week of their own. The event takes place at Desert Ridge Marketplace from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. FW4K will partner with the nonprofit group, The Singletons, for this year's FW4K fashion show. By partnering with The Singletons, FW4K is supporting their mission to provide hope and support to single parent families with cancer. Attendees are encouraged to help support the mission by bringing items from the “Bare Necessities” list and donate them at the event, including toilet paper, natural toiletries, kitchen products and more.

Arizona Fall Festival

The Arizona Fall Fest presented by Local First Arizona is a free, family- and dog-friendly celebration of all things uniquely Arizona. The festival will take place at Hance Park, on Moreland between 1st and 3rd Streets (between Burton Barr Library and Phoenix Center of the Arts), from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Event-goers can expect more than 200 vendors representing Arizona’s favorite local businesses; food samples from some of the best Arizona restaurants, local chefs and food trucks; The Hensley Beverage Company Beverage Garden featuring Arizona-produced wine, beer and spirits; live entertainment; and games and entertainment in the sports zone with representatives from several of Arizona’s professional sports teams. There will also be a kid’s zone featuring crafts, games and activities for kids and families.

Bacon, Blues and Brews

From ice-cold brews to lively tunes, Bacon, Blues and Brews offers something for all appetites, and it’s all going down in Queen Creek’s Founders Park on Nov. 3 from noon to 9 p.m. The family-friendly celebration features craft beer, blues music, a kid’s zone, an array of inventive bacon-based dishes from chefs from around the Valley and much more. The event Benefits East Valley Firefighter Charities.

Dino Explorer at the Legoland Discovery Center Arizona

Do you have a dino-loving dude or dudette in the house? Well, treat them to a day they will never forget at the Legoland Discovery Center Arizona. This exhibit features a wide variety of dino-themed activities and hands-on learning. You will also have the chance to build your own Tyrannosaurus Rex--or any other dinosaur. And before you leave, you will have the opportunity to take a photo with the huge lego T-Rex.

Bodies Revealed 

The overwhelmingly popular Bodies Revealed exhibit is open at OdySea in the Desert and explores the human body in an intimate and informative way. The 12,000-sq.-ft. exhibition will remain on display until March 2019. Bodies Revealed gives an in-depth view of the complex and intricate network of internal organs and systems in a very up-close and personal way, with more than 200 whole and partial preserved human body specimens. There are nine self-guided galleries, each one providing a detailed look into a specific part of the body, its functions and its importance to the rest of the body.
