During September’s National Childhood Cancer Awareness month, all 59 Kneaders locations throughout the country, including 17 in Arizona, will sell elephant-shaped sugar cookies and campaign-themed retail items to support advances in childhood cancer research in the Schiffman lab at Huntsman Cancer Institute. One hundred percent of every $2.99 cookie sale goes directly to childhood cancer research in the Schiffman lab and childhood cancer resources at HCI.

Swan Lake with a Splash!
Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona (Free Arts) is celebrating its 19th year in collaboration with Dance Theatre West and the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts with the annual Storybook Ballet performance on Saturday, Sept. 29, at 3 p.m. This year’s performance is Swan Lake with a Splash! Young children from local homeless shelters and foster care group homes will join the Dance Theatre West Storybook Ballet Company on stage. Seventh Annual Fall Concert Series at Scottsdale Quarter: British Invasion
Unwind at Scottsdale Quarter for the seventh-annual Fall Concert Series, a free concert series taking place in The Quad. Fashion Week 4 Kids Open Casting Call
Boys and girls ages 5-14 can audition to walk in the fourth annual Fashion Week 4 Kids which will return to the Valley on Saturday, November 3 at Desert Ridge Marketplace. No experience is necessary to try out. The event kicks off the week of October 29 with exclusive discounts and will culminate with a day of fashion shows and activities on Saturday, November 3.
