Friday:
In need of a little getaway? Well, make the trek out to Casa Grande and enjoy the five-day Pinal County Fair. This fair is known to deliver entertainment, thrill rides and yummy fair food to all guests. From eating funnel cakes to screaming on the Zipper, all fair activities will offer plenty of family fun. Treat your kiddos to a Movie in the Bark this Friday night and start the weekend off relaxing. This week’s movie is “A Dog’s Purpose.” and the event begins at 7 pm. So bring your kiddos, your pup and a blanket and a get ready to relax and watch a cute movie.
Head to Tempe this weekend to see the fabulous workings of 350-plus artists from around the country. This event features live music on multiple stages, a kid’s area and a special wine tasting event. The festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday, March 23 to 25, on Mill Avenue between Third Street and University Drive. Innings Festival at Tempe’s Beach and Arts Park
Although this weekend marks the end of everyone’s favorite time of year, spring training, come out and send off your favorite players at the Innings Festival. The Innings Festival is a three-day event that will feature rock, pop and country performances from 36 artists (including Chris Stapleton, Young the Giant, Queens of the Stone Age, The Avett Brothers, etc.) on three stages. This event will also feature culinary demos, as well as curated food vendors, fun family activities and appearances by professional baseball players.
Saturday:
5th Annual Italian Festival at the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall
Celebrate all things Italian this Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25 at the Scottsdale Civic Center! This event will feature an array of live music (from musicians flying in from Italy), dance performances, authentic Italian crafts, wine and delicious Italian food. This event is hosted by the Italian Association of Arizona, and a portion of the proceeds from the event will go toward St. Vincent de Paul, an organization that helps feed, clothe, house and heal those in need in Arizona. Enchanted Tea Party Spring Festival and Cake Smash Party
Did your kids have a hard week? Well, we found just the thing for them to take their frustrations out on, in a healthy, yet not so healthy way. An Enchanted Tea Party featuring an opportunity for a Cake Smash! At the event, you will have the opportunity to purchase a large cupcake for smashing. Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Kansas City Royals
Grab your kiddos and your favorite ball cap and head out to watch the Diamondbacks take on the Kansas City Royals this Saturday at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. This Saturday, March 24, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. the Rooted Community Yoga Project is putting on another guided yoga session for all ages and levels. After the class, take your little learners on a tour of the museum and enjoy a morning together. The class is only $10 and it gets admission to the museum. So come out and prepare your kids for the week by getting them in a zen state of mind.
The King and I (Touring) at ASU Gammage
Known as one of Rodgers and Hammerstein's finest works, The King and I is a musical that features fan favorites and beloved classics like Getting To Know You, Hello Young Lovers, Shall We Dance, I Have Dreamed, and Something Wonderful. The King and I is set in 1860's Bangkok and tells the story of a relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna Leonowens, a British school teacher. Sunday A’Fair at the Scottsdale Civic Center Park
Finish off the weekend with a picnic in the park. Come out to the Scottsdale Civic Center Park and enjoy the beautiful weather, your family’s company, live music, kid’s activities and an arts and crafts market.
