What is your biggest joy in being a mom?/What has been your proudest moment as a mother? They all never cease to amaze me with their quick wit, caring hearts, and sense of adventure. They are all truly men for others.
Biggest struggle? Balancing the boys with my career.
Looking back, what advice would you give to yourself as a new mom? As a new mother, it's OK if the binky falls on the ground. Germs never hurt anyone.
Describe your perfect day with your family. Now that the boys are older, any one-on-one time with my sons makes me happy.
How do you like to celebrate Mother’s Day? I consider Mother's Day a holiday, and our family tradition is to start every holiday with cinnamon rolls. My 6-month-old grandson, Tripp, just had his first bite of one this Easter.
Local favorites...
Family-friendly restaurant: Ajo Al's. That is the first place my boys always want to go when the come back to town. It is a family staple.
Spot to be outdoors: Any place that is pet friendly now that the boys all have dogs of their own.
Little-known gem for families: Not little known, but the railroad park was always a family favorite.
Family-friendly resort: The Westin Kierland
Annual family event: We do Tired of Turkey the Saturday after Thanksgiving and we eat Mexican. food. I love putting my own spin on holidays.
Educational spot: The Halle (pronounced "holly") Heart Museum.
