While the weekend of March 29 to March 31 marks the end of some our favorite springtime Valley happenings (Renaissance Festivel, spring break at Jake's Unlimited and March Movie Madness at Flix Brewhouse), it also welcomes some bigtime family fun: the newest Cirque show, Arizona Coyotes' Superhero Night and much more.

Cirque Du Soleil’s AMALUNA

AMALUNA invites the audience to a mysterious island governed by goddesses and guided by the cycles of the moon. The captivating and colorful love story features a mostly female cast, for the first time ever, and an all-women band. AMALUNA takes place through April 14 under the big-top tent near Glendale’s State Farm Stadium.

Spring Break at Jake’s Unlimited

Mesa’s Jake’s Unlimited is upping the fun factor for Valley families with a special spring break promotion. From March 1 to March 31, families will save $15 on each Pro Package Pass they purchase (normally priced at $45.50 a person). The Pro Package includes unlimited buffet until 8 p.m., rides and attractions, non-redemption video games, one game of bowling with rental shows, one game of mini-bowling, and a $10 fun card.

Electric Desert at Desert Botanical Garden

Through May 12, check out the desert as it's drenched in light and sound in a mesmerizing display like never before with Klip Collective’s Electric Desert at Desert Botanical Garden. The cacti and desert become a living canvas during this limited-time nighttime experience. Ticket prices vary.

March Movie Madness at Flix Brewhouse

Flix Brewhouse brings in spring with March Movie Madness. The in-theater dining and craft beer concept is slashing prices through the month of March, offering matinee pricing of $7.50 per ticket on all films all month long. Moviegoers will find discounted pricing automatically when booking online, as well as at ticket kiosks and the box office at Flix Brewhouse.

PAW Patrol Live! “The Great Pirate Adventure”

All paws on deck! Nickelodeon and VStar Entertainment Group present PAW Patrol Live! “The Great Pirate Adventure,” an action-packed, music-filled production, presented by Pedigree. The heroic pups embark on a pirate-themed adventure to uncover hidden treasure during the hit live stage show, playing at Comerica Theatre March 30 and March 31. “Mummies of the World: The Exhibition” at Arizona Science Center

The mystery of mummification has long-captured audiences. Valley residents can now admire the ancient practice up-close with the Arizona Science Center’s new “Mummies of the World: The Exhibition." The exhibit features 40 real human and animal mummies, as well as an additional 85 rare artifacts from around the world. “Mummies of the World: The Exhibition” is a limited-time engagement requiring a timed-entry ticket and purchase of general admission. Advance purchase is highly recommended. The exhibition ends in September.

Monster Fish: In Search of the Last River Giants at OdySea Aquarium

Guests are invited to dive beneath the surface of the world’s rivers in the limited-time exhibition “Monster Fish: In Search of the Last River Giants” at OdySea Aquarium. The interactive exhibition will include five extraordinary, life-size sculptures of monster fish as well as videos and hands-on interactive activities for audiences of all ages. “Monster Fish” will remain at OdySea Aquarium until May 5.

Arizona Coyotes’ “Superhero Night”

As the Coyotes take on the Minnesota Wild at this 2 p.m. game, the team also celebrates caped crusaders with Superhero Night. All kids 14 and younger will receive a free Oliver Ekman-Larsson superhero cape with valid ticket. Plus, kids 14 and younger can go on the ice and do a post-game slap shot for free. Keep an eye out for photo ops as costumed superheroes will mix and mingle with kids before the game and on the plaza.

Crayola Experience Chandler Celebrates National Crayon Day

Crayola Experience Chandler will celebrate National Crayon Day with a family-fun coloring event featuring prizes and giveaways in front of its future location opening this summer at Chandler Fashion Center. Activities include a coloring page station, customizable crayon, plenty of prizes, a visit from Crayola’s crayon mascot and much more from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event takes place in front of future Crayola Experience Chandler location, Level 2 near Kona Grill.

Arizona Renaissance Festival

It’s your last chance to be transported back to the 16th century with one of the largest and most picturesque renaissance festivals. The Arizona Renaissance Festival runs every Saturday and Sunday through March 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Roam the 30-acre festival village filled with whimsical castles, cottages and pubs, take in 14 stages of nonstop performances of music, mermaids, merriment, dance, acrobatics and comedy and cheer on knights during the jousting tournaments. Huzzah!
