From the most influential educators and businesspeople to the biggest trendsetters and\u00a0tastemakers, these locals are tops when it comes to making the Valley the best place to call\u00a0home.<\/p>\n

Favorite Valley Dad: Steve<\/strong>\u00a0Kraus, Owner and Founder of Press Coffee Roasters and Press Coffee Food &\u00a0Wine<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tell me about your day-to- day.<\/strong> My days are started by waking up and getting my kids\u00a0[2-year- old twins, Zachary and Zoey] dressed, fed and ready to go. Then I\u2019ll have various\u00a0things planned from operations duties at one the stores, business development with my\u00a0partner and just day-to- day meetings with new and current customers. I will usually visit\u00a0the stores to see the staff, talk to customers and drink some coffee. I end my days with a\u00a0workout and kissing my kids just before they go to bed. Never a dull day, to say the least!<\/p>\n

What is your biggest joy as a dad?<\/strong> Hands down the biggest joy of being a dad is the\u00a0enjoyment of watching my kids grow, smile and laugh. It\u2019s everything everyone tells you\u00a0and then some.<\/p>\n

What is your biggest challenge as a dad?<\/strong> Biggest challenge as a dad at first was\u00a0managing twins, it\u2019s single handedly the most stressful thing I\u2019ve ever done. Now they are\u00a0past the first 2 years it’s stressing about the decisions I make for them.<\/p>\n

Fast Faves<\/strong><\/p>\n

Outdoor spot for the family:<\/strong> Phoenix Zoo, Butterfly Wonderland and, of course, any park\u00a0that has a playground!<\/p>\n

Where to spend \u201cme\u201d time:<\/strong> Considering\u00a0I don\u2019t have much\u00a0me time, a golf course is a\u00a0great place. Great escape and time to reflect on what\u2019s going on in my life. Whether I\u2019m\u00a0hitting the ball well is another subject!<\/p>\n

Spot to spend a Sunday morning:<\/strong> My kitchen. I really enjoy spending time cooking\u00a0breakfast,\u00a0brewing great PRESS coffee and watching my kids try to imitate daddy doing\u00a0one thing or the other. They love to say \u2018coppee\u2019 when I\u2019m making coffee.<\/p>\n
