From its humble beginnings in the 1950\u2019s as an alumnae event, the annual Xavier\u00a0Scholarship Fashion Show has evolved into a fabulous spring tradition. This year, the\u00a0Xavier Mothers’ Guild partnered with Dillard’s Scottsdale Fashion Square last month to\u00a0present a reception, luncheon and fashion show at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge\u00a0Resort. The event raised scholarship funds for the more than 40 percent of Xavier\u00a0students who receive financial assistance. Five young executives were selected to lead the\u00a0special-events committee, and each of them selected 10 for a total of 55. To date, there\u00a0are more than 300 members comprising The Thunderbirds organization. Thunderbirds\u00a0Charities is a non-profit organization formed in 1986 to distribute monies raised through\u00a0the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
