On Thursday, the husband-and-wife team of Jeremy and Shernell Mays open Painting with a Twist in Tempe. The BYOB painting studio invites guests to paint on bare 16” by 20” canvases using paint and brushes provided by the studio, and classes are taught by local art instructors. The artwork ranges from landscapes, abstracts and cityscapes to creative renderings of everyday items.

Painting with a Twist also offers opportunities for corporate outings, bachelorette parties, sorority functions, date nights and special events. The studio is able to accommodate up to 60 people.

Plus, enjoying Painting with a Purpose also means giving back to the community. Painting with a Twist of Tempe donates 50 percent of their proceeds to local nonprofit organizations every month.

The Grand Opening celebration is set for Thursday, March 6 from 5-9 p.m. and is free to the public. The classes are first come first serve, so be there early to sign up. Everyone that attends will receive a gift bag filled with goodies as well as entered into drawings for gift certificates for free painting classes. www.paintingwithatwist.com/tempe.
