The Leukemia Lymphoma Society Announces Man & Woman of The Year Candidates

 
 
 

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man & Woman of the Year campaign is getting poised to kick off their national ten-week campaign to raise funds for blood cancer research. The campaign brings together passionate individuals who utilize their leadership abilities and resources to conduct their own fundraising campaigns.

Funds raised by Man & Woman of the Year participants are used towards lifesaving blood cancer research, financial assistance to cover patient expenses for transportation, medication and testing, free educational materials and events for patients and their families, local programs such as Family Support Groups and First Connection, a peer-to-peer counseling program, and comprehensive, personalized assistance through the Information Resource Center.

The 2014 campaign will kick off of March 6 with the Grand Finale held on May 16 at Talking Stick Resort. Candidates' efforts will be celebrated with food, cocktails, music, auction, and announcement of the male and female winners.  This year’s Co-Chairs are Erica Anderson of Shutterfly Business Solutions and Judy Bernas of the University of Arizona in Phoenix and past winner.
