Last night one of the "Seven Wonders of the World" and one of Arizona's biggest prides, the Grand Canyon, received more media attention than ever before. Millions from all around the world gathered around their television sets to watch daredevil tightrope artist Nik Wallenda attempt to walk across the Grand Canyon.
Having trained for this event his whole life, Wallenda, a husband and father of two kids, attempted this life and death walk without any form of harnass or safety net. Wallenda has tightroped over the Niagra Falls, Charlotte Motor Speedway, and some of the highest skyscrapers in the country, all with the ending goal to walk across the Grand Canyon.
Luckily, Wallenda survived this potentially fatal 1,400 feet high-wire walk. "#SkyWire" quickly became a "Trending" hashtag on Twitter, with Wallenda became the first person to tightrope walk across the Grand Canyon. This man is currently one of the most talked about men in the world and is inspiring people everywhere.
Now the only question is, what will Nik Wallenda do next?
