Early next year, two of music's biggest legends will come together in Scottsdale for a very worthy cause. In conjunction with Bernie Taupin’s “Beyond Words” exhibition (Taupin is Elton John's longtime songwriter and collaborator), rocker Alice Cooper together with Taupin will host a fundraiser for his charitable organization, Solid Rock, at DeRubeis Fine Art in Scottsdale. The event is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from that evening will benefit Cooper's Solid Rock, a local nonprofit whose primary goal is to help meet the spiritual, economical, physical, and social needs of teenagers and children in the Greater Phoenix community.

"Beyond Words" is described as an "extraordinary collection of contemporary artworks by legendary songwriter and lyricist Bernie Taupin." Beginning on Jan. 24, the public will be able to preview the artwork at DeRubeis Fine Art in Scottsdale. Exhibition previews will run through Jan. 26, with special appearances by Taupin on Saturday, Jan. 26 (7 to 9 p.m.) and Sunday, Jan. 27 (2 to 4 p.m.). RSVPs are requested: 480.941.6033.
