Residents Come Together Raising Money

What began in 2009 as a small golf event and reception to raise money and funds for breast cancer with a few dozen ladies, is now a week-long series of events where the entire community is involved and raises awareness and funds for all types of cancer. Mirabel, an award-winning community holds the 4th annual Hope For The Cause event where members, friends, and residents come together over an eight-day period to raise funds. This year, a total donation of $196,000 was donated directly to the Clinical Trials Program at Scottsdale Healthcare Research Institute headed by Dr. Daniel Von Hoff.

“With this year’s donation of $196,000, the Mirabel community is so proud to support cancer research at a world class facility right in our own backyard,” Ruth Evans, Co-Chair of this year’s event says. “Having participated in the event through the years, it is wonderful to see the Mirabel community rally together for a cause important to so many of us.”
