City Lights Movie Nights: The Incredibles
CityScape Phoenix is bringing back its free City Lights Movie Nights series this fall! The popular event draws nearly 1,200 guests each month and features fun giveaways, special-themed contests and prizes at every showing. This Friday, catch a showing of “The Incredibles” at the CityScape splash pad starting at 6:30 p.m.
Slime-Making Weekend at KidsPark
If your child love ooey gooey fun, then KidsPark hourly childcare center in Phoenix and Peoria will be the perfect place to drop him or her off for a few hours of slime-making adventures. KidsPark will set up a special slime making-factory for mini scientists, ages 2 to 12, on the weekend of Sept. 14, 15 and 16. The creative, hands-on slime making will be going on all day and night. There are locations in Scottsdale and Peoria.
Tween/Teen Night at AZ Air Time
From 8 to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, all tweens and teens, ages 12 and up, are invited to AZ Air Time trampoline park in Scottsdale to enjoy exciting dodgeball tournaments, dancing contests, and jumping on the indoor trampolines and into foam pits. This supervised nighttime play is perfect for parents who are looking for a safe, indoor place for their older kids to spend time on the weekend evenings. Cost is $15 for three hours.
The overwhelmingly popular Bodies Revealed exhibit is open at OdySea in the Desert and explores the human body in an intimate and informative way. The 12,000-sq.-ft. exhibition will remain on display until March 2019. Bodies Revealed gives an in-depth view of the complex and intricate network of internal organs and systems in a very up-close and personal way, with more than 200 whole and partial preserved human body specimens. There are nine self-guided galleries, each one providing a detailed look into a specific part of the body, its functions and its importance to the rest of the body.

Rockin’ Taco Street Fest
The family-friendly Rockin’ Taco Street Fest returns to Downtown Chandler on Saturday, Sept. 15, with lucha wrestling, low riders, live music, margaritas, beer, eating competitions (winners will receive $100 in cash) and an abundance of creative tacos from 20 local restaurants and food purveyors. This year’s entertainment lineup offers a headlining performance by Metalachi, the world’s first and only, heavy metal mariachi band. Plus, Evil Waze, a Santana Tribute Band will return with their throwback sound. Other highlights include a custom lowrider car show with In the Streets Magazine showcasing more than 60 trucks, cars, and bikes followed by Lucha Libre Voz wrestling matches throughout the day.
Messy Fest
Messy Fest 2018 is on the calendar for 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at Queen Creek’s Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Center, and this year’s celebration of all things sloppy, messy and muddy promises more chaos, clutter and friendly competition than ever before. Think massive mud pits, multi-family tug-of-war, food fights, ice cream slip-and-slides, slime zones, colored forest and much, much more, and it’s all for the benefit of a great cause: Childhelp.
Seventh Annual Fall Concert Series at Scottsdale Quarter: Stanley Serrano
Unwind at Scottsdale Quarter for the seventh-annual Fall Concert Series, a free concert series taking place in The Quad. Live music from cover artist Stanley Serrano can be enjoyed from 5 to 7 p.m. and will run at the same time every Saturday through Oct. 27 (a different music group will be showcased each week).

Book-Inspired Kid’s Menus at Southern Rail
Southern Rail offers a one-of-a-kind kid's menu incorporating the dishes into some of the most beloved children's books (it is located next-door to Changing Hands Bookstore in Phoenix, after all). The restaurant rotates 15 to 20 different books so that each kid will have something new to read each time. The unique kids menu is also available at Southern Rail’s sister restaurant, Beckett’s Table.
