It might not be festival season, but it certainly feels like it still is in the Valley. Between the Goldrush Music Festival, SanTan Brewing’s Oktoberfest, the Let’s Eat Arizona Donut Festival and the Chile Pepper Festival, there is something for everyone to enjoy. So, bid farewell to the final weekend of September in style, and check out all of the unique events that are happening this weekend, Sept. 28 – Sept. 30!

Mozart, Strauss and Tchaikovsky Phoenix Symphony Concert

This concert combines the musical efforts of Mozart, Strauss and Tchaikovsky’s remarkable work into a world-class show. If you’re interested in an evening of classical tunes, you can’t miss this event, with music being performed by Drew Peterson. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m., with tickets starting at $25. Pumpkin Days and Corn Maze at Tolmachoff Farms

Pumpkin Days is officially kicking off at Tolmachoff Farms this weekend. With a corn maze, a train ride, a hay pyramid and so many more fall-centric activities, this event is the perfect way to welcome October with your family. 6th Annual Taste America Weekend

This flavorful event is being hosted by the James Beard Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to celebrate and honor chefs that are helping to diversify America’s food culture. The fundraising dinner at Mountain Shadows will feature a night of otherworldly meals prepared by popular culinary stars. Admission to the event is $275 per person, and includes admission to the opening reception, a three-course seated dinner, and the dessert reception. The opening reception starts at 7 p.m., sharp. Mighty Monarch Butterfly Exhibit at Desert Botanical Garden

Monarch butterflies are expected to make their return to the Desert Botanical Garden’s Fall Butterfly Exhibit. At the exhibit, guests will have an opportunity to see monarch butterflies in a unique light, and they will also get to learn about how these majestic creatures protect and care for our desert. The exhibit will run from late-September through mid-November, and will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Saturday. For more information on this event, click here.

Open Air Market at Phoenix Public Market

The Open Air Market is a program of Community Food Connections (CFC), which is a nonprofit organization that works to create a downtown gathering place by supporting small farmers and business that strengthen sustainable food system for their local community. The market, which runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. this Saturday, is a perfect opportunity to get outside and enjoy the cooler temperatures. For more information on this event, click here.

Chile Pepper Festival

The Chile Pepper Festival is an annual food and fundraising event that highlights some of the Valley’s most delicious chile pepper cuisine. The event in the Roosevelt Row Arts District in Phoenix also gives local chefs a unique opportunity to test their skills and experiment with chile pepper recipes for eager festival attendees. Goldrush Music Festival Begins

The second annual Goldrush Music Festival is being held at Rawhide Western Town this weekend. The event, which is presented by Relentless Beats and Universatile Music, features popular DJ’s Deadmau5, Illenium and Steve Aoki. Tickets to the festival are still being sold and start at $179. SanTan Brewing Oktoberfest

Test the tastes of Munich and German-style cuisine at the 11th Annual SanTan Oktoberfest. The festival returns to Eowntown Chandler this weekend, and is expected to feature everything from German-style beers to pretzels and polka. The event runs from 3  to 11 p.m., and tickets start $12. Let’s Eat Arizona Donuts Festival

Attention all foodies! You “do-not” want to miss this tasty festival. The Let’s Eat Arizona Donut Festival is the Valley’s first indoor donut festival and is expected to feature dozens of unique creations from local chefs. 94th Annual Cochise County Fair

The 94th Annual Cochise County Fair returns to Cochise County Fairgrounds, and will run from Sept. 27 to Sept. 30. Fair attendees can enjoy carnival rides, collegiate rodeo, livestock auctions, fair food, a beer garden and live entertainment. Gates open at 10 a.m., and tickets range from $3 to $6.
