The Wrecks at Tempe Marketplace

Indie rockers, The Wrecks, will make their way to Tempe Marketplace for a free concert this Friday, May 4, at 7 p.m. With super popular radio hits like “Favorite Liar,” The Wrecks are known to blend upbeat lyrics, a quirky melody and exuberant enthusiasm to create a signature sound. Free Pilates Day Mat Class at Mountain Shadows Resort

In need of a day of a relaxing Saturday morning before you celebrate the day with too many tequilas? Well, Mountain Shadows Resort has got your back. From 9:30 to 11 a.m. the Pilates Method Alliance will be hosting its 7th Annual Pilates in the Park celebrating National Pilates Day. All levels are welcome for this one-hour class with beats from DJ Ryan Ingram, refreshments, giveaways and donations being collected to benefit the Arizona Animal Welfare League. So come early to get a good (shady) spot, and remember BYOMW (bring your own mat and water) and prepare to move and sweat!

Tequila Sunrise at Boondocks Patio & Grill in Old Town Scottsdale

Wanna get a head start on Cinco de Mayo festivities? Well, then head over to the Old Town hot spot Boondocks Patio & Grill this Saturday. Doors open at 6 a.m. and so do the burrito and tequila specials. Other specials include $5 Tequila Sunrises from 6 a.m. to noon, $5 Cazadores Tequila and frozen margaritas from 3 to 6 p.m. And to top it off, there will be live mariachi bands in the afternoon, a DJ area and Deers & Beers hosted by Cazadores Tequila. Booze and Bloom Succulent Garden Class at the Cactus Flower Scottsdale

On Saturday, May 5, Sam Pillsbury will be pouring his award-winning wines at the Cactus Flower Scottsdale retail location during a complimentary wine tasting from 1 to 3 p.m. While sipping Arizona wine, attendees can also enjoy a fun and fabulous garden class. Kentucky Derby at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

Cinco de Mario at Scottsdale Civic Center Plaza

The countdown is over! Cinco de Mario is here! This Saturday, from 11a.m. to 6 p.m., join TV Star Mario Lopez for Cinco de Mario, a new fiesta right in the heart of Scottsdale. Blending event elements inspired by Cinco de Mayo, the Kentucky Derby, and Lopez's penchant for having fun, this experiential festival at Scottsdale Civic Center Plaza will include something for everyone. Also, don't miss a special Cholofit Yoga Class led by comedian Frankie Quinones, or a special appearance by actor and taco/donut impresario, Danny Trejo. From top taco trucks and bars featuring top-shelf margaritas, to a craft-focused kid's zone and strolling mariachi bands, this festival is a new kind of Cinco celebration that invites everybody to enjoy a day out in the sunshine. Wanderlust 108 at Salt River Fields

Need to detox after your Cinco de Mayo festivities? Well, we found just the thing to get you movin’ and groovin’ on a Sunday morning. Wanderlust, in partnership with Adidas, brings Wanderlust 108, the world’s only mindful triathlon back to the Valley. Wanderlust’s unique triathlon consists of a five-kilometer run (or walk), a music-fueled, outdoor yoga class led by Briohny Smyth and a guided meditation led by Tracee Stanley. Mindful triathletes can also groove to the sounds of DJ Sol Rising, browse the marketplace of local craft and food vendors, and experience bonus fitness classes throughout the day.
